Wonderful service! I arrived quite early and they let me store my luggage and let me know when my room was ready. I needed a nap and a shower after traveling so long! Much appreciated Very easy check in and out as all done over phone Nice location just off beaten track so not loud and walkable to all of town. Cool little place with great details like arches and old beams. No view but that wasn't needed. Windows open for fresh air and sound of rain. Nice sized room but small shower and bathroom for Americans. Get used to it. Comfortable bed Microwave and fridge and fileted water available and electric kettle in room.

We arrived at the property after flying from Las Vegas to Boston and from Boston to St Michael Azores. It was about 9:00 pm when we arrivedat the property. They contacted us with a list of instructions and a code to open the door. As we entered, there was a very big staircase and nothing else. We are senior citizens with very heavy luggage. We, somehow managed to carry the luggage up the stairs. There was no one upstairs to tell us our room number or give us a key. The instructions said to call when we arrive. There was no wifi, and no phones that we could see, so calling was impossible. We had no choice but to leave. Most of the hotels were booked. We drove around till 1:00 am an we finally found a hotel that had a vacancy. This was the worst trip ever.

Appartamentino centralissimo a Ponta Delgada, comodo e vicino alla fermata dei pullman, dei supermercati. La via in cui si trova è quella principale della città, con alcuni bar sotto casa (quindi non proprio silenziosissima) ma basta chiudere le finestre ed accendere il condizionatore. Comodissima la zona cucina a disposizione di tutti gli ospiti, fornita di ogni utensile utile per poter cucinare ciò che si vuole. L'unica scomodità che abbiamo avuto è stata la mancanza di uno stendino, o una zona lavanderia, dove stendere e far asciugare le nostre cose. Ci siamo dovuti arrabattare ed appendere alla doccia o alle ante degli armadi costumi ed asciugamani (la stanza era senza balcone). Nel complesso comunque una ottima struttura!

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Die Einrichtung ist stylisch und praktisch zugleich. Das Personal ist freundlich und die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, ich habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Central, nice and clean. Th breakfast basket is a terrible idea, gives no choice and contains sweetened juice/yoghurt and cereal. Strange that they don't serve breakfast in their kitchen/lounge.

Casa das Arcadas ist eine wirklich sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft im Zentrum Ponta Delgadas. Zu Fuß erreicht man das Stadtzentrum innerhalb von 2min, sowie alle zentralen Buslinien. Die Zimmer sehen 1:1 aus wie auf den Bildern und sind wirklich sehr groß und sauber. Zudem gibt es im 2. Stock eine große, gut ausgestattete Küche sowie einen großen Tisch, die man frei nutzen kann. Am meisten hat mir der Service und das Frühstück gefallen. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und rund um die Uhr über WhatsApp erreichbar. Das Frühstück war wirklich hervorragend und übertraf meine Erwartungen. Ich habe pro Tag 2€ dafür bezahlt und das hat sich mehr als gelohnt. Es umfasste Brötchen, Cornflakes, diversen Aufschnitt (regional), Kaffee, Tee, Kakao, Saft, Obst, Joghurt, Kekse und vieles mehr. Sollte ich nochmal nach Sao Miguel fliegen, würde ich definitiv wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

Chambre agréable ,très bien située très propre, calme . Petit-déjeuner pas bon, produits bas de gamme ,aucun personnel présent il faut débarrasser sa table et nettoyer la table, ce n'est pas le service attendu lorsque l'on réserve une chambre. Donc il faut se contenter de la chambre et prendre le petit-déjeuner à l'extérieur meilleur et moins cher

Such a great place to stay
The hotel is right in the city center, just one street from the sea, yet quite. The room was very spacious and comfy, the service perfect and we just loved the picnic basket breakfasts.

I might have missed it but note there are stairs and no elevators so if you have large luggage, you will need to carry that up yourself potentially up to 1 - 2 floors depending on where your room is. The stairs are sturdy and wide, but may not be for everyone. There is a nice kitchen area shared by everyone, a nice place to sit and have tea or coffee or even cook your dinner. The breakfast basket is left outside your room door and contains everything from dishes, cutlery, yogurt, fruit, cheese/ham/bread/butter, coffee/tea - the whole works! The staff is helpful and responsive on WhatsApp. The only thing I would suggest for them to improve on is the bathroom amenities. There is a pump bottle of hand soap for the sink but they provide a similar thing for the body wash/shampoo in a plastic hanger/holder. For easier use and convenience they should just have these pumps attached to the wall. For the sink had soap, this might free up a bit of space to put a few personal toiletries. The plastic holder is essentially useless as you can't pump the wash easily while inside the holder. I think the housekeeping staff just need to follow a check list of what they need to check for. My friend's room didn't have body wash and they never came with a pump for that up to the time we checked out. Instead the office staff poured it in a cup for her.

Suite 8 - belle chambre vaste - avec petite salle d eau et wc- Literie tres ferme, un seul petit oreiller. Panier dejeuner depose chaque jour devant votre porte, vaste cuisine libre d acces. P.S. : petit probleme d odeur (moisi) lorsque l on n aere pas suffisamment ou qu on eteind la climatisation - tres desagreable -

Disappointing
It is sold as an hotel room but it is not. It is a refurbished traditional house with various rooms. This makes it no soundproof and very noisy stay both beacuse of other guests (I was woken up multiple nights at 2 am by new guests arriving as rooms are no sound isolated and guests think treat it as their own house as it is hoe it looks like) than by the street noise. Do not add breakfast to the booking as this will consist in a basket with food left in front of your door in the morning, the cost of breakfast is 10 euros per night and the content of the basket is really disappointing: yogurt, bread, butter, jam and a juice. In the same street there is Bagga in which you can pick your fresh breakfast starting from only 2 euros (yes everywhere food is very cheap in ponta delgada). My room smelled of mould (guess is what you get with a traditional house) and internet wasn't working on all my devices, which made my stay not so comfortable. This is really something the property should solve. The view from the window was on another wall, so not very nice to spend time in the room. The price of the accommodation is quite affordable and very central in the town but definitely I wouldn't pick this again to have a comfortable stay.
