Esquina Ilhéu - "Azul y Mar"

El Cantinho do Ilhéu - "Azul e Mar", se encuentra en la costa sur de la isla, a 5 minutos del aeropuerto y la ciudad de Ponta Delgada. Se encuentra en una parroquia frente al mar, con 3 playas a 5 minutos a pie y una piscina natural a las afueras de la casa. La casa es una T1, con habitación con cama doble, sala de estar, cocina totalmente equipada y baño. Cuenta con todas las comodidades que necesita para unas vacaciones relajantes. Siempre estamos disponibles en cualquier momento. A su llegada tendrá algunos productos típicos de la isla.
El espacio:
 Se encuentra justo en el paseo marítimo, con una magnífica vista del islote de São Roque. Es una zona muy tranquila, lo que lo convierte en una estancia relajante. Justo en frente de la casa hay una piscina natural y un carril bici donde puedes disfrutar de una caminata o paseo en bicicleta. También a poca distancia puede ir a las playas, varios restaurantes, varios bares, fruterías, farmacias y supermercados. Está cerca de la ciudad principal, Ponta Delgada, donde se encuentra el aeropuerto, y de una variedad de servicios.

Un petit logement situé idéalement avec vue directe sur la mer et les rochers. On peut longer la côte en jogging tout en regardant les pêcheurs et les bâteaux. L'accueil fût très chaleureux grâce à Elisabete et son fils Gonçalo. Nous avons été vraiment gâtés par toutes les merveilleuses grignotines qui nous attendaient. Proche de Ponta Delgada, nous avons pu rayonner dans toute l'île de Sao Miguel sans avoir à faire de trop longues routes.

Excellent little apartment on the ocean. Loved the use of the washing machine, the kitchen was great for preparing some simple meals. The host was very good at helping us find the place and showing us the amenities. We loved opening up the sliding door to get some fresh air and sounds from the ocean. The sofa was a little oversized for the space and the memory foam matress wasn't the most comfortable for sleeping, but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Cozy, cute oceanside apartment

You can't beat the location of this sweet, cozy, super clean apartment. The unit is just a few feet from the ocean and the great seawalk that leads into the center of Ponta Delgada, a lovely 40-minute stroll. The place was well-equipped and the complimentary food items and beverages were appreciated. A terrific restaurant is right next door and sand beaches but a short walk. The host was very responsive. Finding the dead-end street with the parking area was a little challenging for us, but our host was helpful. Really a gem for a single or a couple.

Hiking and relaxing

Great apartment- small, but well designed and has absolutely everything you need. Location is great- seaview and an easy 30min walk to centre of Ponta Delgada or less than 10min on electric scooter! Only downside is the restaurant next door which is noisy in the evening (we had earplugs and it was fine to sleep) and people stand outside the apartment to smoke. Great host, would recommend.

Perfectly wonderful…wish we were still there!

I have been to Sao Miguel before, so knew the general area. Everything is convenient, and the apartment, though compact, has everything one needs. Tasteful decoration, clean, cool, and a terrific view. The hosts provided Azorean bread, cheeses, jam, and wine, and that was such a nice touch. They were accessible and welcoming, and after a long trip, we appreciated not needing to find a market right away. We also appreciated the access to a washing machine. We hiked every day in heat, and it was nice to have clean things. I really can’t think of anything that this nice little place lacked. Thank you again!

5 Stars! Amazing Stay!

This property was absolutely fantastic! The host was awesome with greeting us, being available for questions, and calling us a cab when it was time to check out. The unit had everything we could want to make us feel at home and we were welcomed with a basket of fresh fruit and items for breakfast. The ocean right outside our doorstep, an amazing restaurant right next door, and a walk along the seawall to town (took us about 40 min) made us very happy with the location. We can't wait to come back and stay again!

Beautiful view and cosy appartment

At our arrival we had a basket of goods… cheese, fruits, crackers, jam… a bottle of wine and it was very appreciated. Walking distance to Ponta Delgada, restaurants and markets. There was a natural pool just in font and a beautifl view. The only bother was the matress which curved in the middle.

Host is Adorable, Place is Spotless

I'd like to give this stay a solid 5 but there is something I think is fair to mention. First, that thing. From the online pix, I thought we were right on the sea. And essentially we were, but between us and it was a double path - bicycle and pedestrian - which was lit up all night. And immediately beside us was a restaurant with a large outdoor patio that served until late, was brightly lit, and sometimes noisy. Now the good stuff. Elisabete is a dream host. "How can I serve you?" is clearly her attitude. She had the apartment ready right on time, then arranged to visit us in person to tell us about the apartment, neighborhood, and island and included an island map upon which she had marked places of interest. In the apartment she had a bottle of wine, milk, cheese made on the island, crackers, local jam, plus more, and all the cooking tools we needed. She and her husband live in a different part of the property, and she was quickly available if we needed something. Elisabete is friendly, enthusiastic about her guests and accommodation, cheerful, generous, witty, and she keeps a spotless apartment and laundry area. There is an air conditioner that kept the apartment at a lovely temperature when we were inside. We had only a few minutes' walk to where we could swim in the ocean, which was wonderful after hikes in the heat. If light at night and voices of people dining do not bother you, this is an excellent accommodation. One can always close the windows and blinds.

Loved it!

Stayed here for a week. Elisabete made us feel so welcome, with all kinds of little gifts to help us settle in. Very unexpected, very thoughtful. The apartment was excellent, well furnished, with a spectacular view! Could sit and watch the ocean all day! Great location. Interesting walks. Great Cottage

A wonderful beautiful location and all the “things” you need to make you feel at home. Our host was so informative and checked in on us through text to see how things were going. Extraordinary!

Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed and had an assortment of delicious local fruits, cheese, wine, bread, and cookies waiting for us. The location of this property is amazing! We looked out at the ocean from our front window and could hear the waves crashing on the rocks. A few meters away is a walking and biking path along the ocean that takes you right into the heart of Ponta Delgada. The highway to different parts of the island is easily accessible and parking was never a problem. The unit is clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Elisabete is a gracious host who took the time to answer our many questions. When we return to visit this island paradise, we will definitely stay here again! Obrigada, Elisabete

Great Host

Elizabete was great ! My wife mentioned I wasn't feeling well with an upset stomach from eating to much the night before. Twenty minutes later there was a knock at the door and there is Elizabete with some homemade chicken soup. It was a very nice cute apartment and great location with available parking two thumbs ups!

A little piece of paradise with incredible hosts!

We recently returned from our stay in the Azores and couldn't recommend this accommodation highly enough! Our hosts went above and beyond in every way to make our stay the best it could be from the moment we booked until the moment we returned home. Elsabete met us upon our arrival, provided us with all of the information we needed and more. She even personalized a travel map for us with lots of tips on all of the best places to visit! She also left breakfast food and wine for us to enjoy. Her place is fully stocked with everything you may need including beach and shower towels, anything for cooking and eating in her lovely kitchen, bikes/helmets, picnic blankets, cooler, laundry baskets, travel guides and more. The location is great as well. Lots of parking nearby and a delicious restaurant directly next door! This is a perfect home base whether you're planning to travel around the island or bike/walk into Ponta Delgada and what a view! Elsabete - thank you so much for all of your attention to detail and warm heart. And thank you again for even folding our laundry (I still feel bad about that - haha!). Unfortunately, we had to end our stay here a little earlier than expected...once again Elsabete and Joao were so understanding, flexible and helpful in this situation. Thank you for that:) We definitely want to return and hope some of our friends and family will have the chance to stay here as well! Thank you, muito obrigado and all the best!

Awesome apartment in a great location

Elisabete created a clean, well-appointed little home with a terrific view of the sea. We can’t say enough about this rental - we’ve used VRBO a dozen times in the US and Europe, and this was the best! Sao Roque, the village, is outside of Ponta Delgada which is advantageous for exploring the island. Tent this property!

Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung! Das Apartment ist für 2 Personen ausgelegt. Alles ist sehr sauber, neu und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden. Von der Kaffeemaschine bis zur Waschmaschine. Der Ausblick auf das Meer ist unglaublich schön. Ein kleiner Supermarkt und eine Fruteria sind zu Fuß in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Der Weg zum Hafen nach Ponta Degada führt über eine wunderschöne Promenade. Falls ein Mietwagen gebraucht wird, sind Parkplätze in der unmittelbaren Nähe vorhanden. Autolärm gibt es trotzdem nicht. Der absolute Pluspunkt und das perfekte Alleinstellungsmerkmal sind jedoch die Gastgeber. Wir wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt und wieder hingebracht. Im Appartement warteten lokale Spezialitäten (Wein, Käse, Brot, Kekse und ein Obstkorb inkl. Ananas) auf uns. Wir konnten uns jederzeit an Elisabete und João wenden. Die beiden sind freundlich, herzlich und überaus hilfsbereit. Gastgeber im besten Sinne des Wortes. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen, eine Wiederkehr ist nicht ausgeschlossen... 😊👍

Immaculate, pretty, convenient, and beautiful view--easy access to everything you want to see

This was the perfect home away from home. As a solo traveler, I felt welcomed and safe. Elisabete met me and oriented me to the island and my lodgings. She could not have been nicer or more helpful--checked in with me a few times throughout the stay. I had everything I could have possibly needed. Great care and attention has been paid to anticipating needs and a little extra like the fruit, cheese, and Bolos Levedos provided, all of which I heartily devoured.The location is amazing, both for its view, access to walking or bike path, and for taking the car to various sites around the island--none more than 30 minutes away. It was great for people and ocean watching but also quiet. I would recommend staying here to friends and family. I hope to return as the island and Casa do Ilheu made me feel at home while surrounded by great beauty and joy..

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Elisabete ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die uns keinen Wunsch unerfüllt gelassen hat. In dem gemütlichen, sehr sauberen und liebevoll eingerichteten Appartement ist alles vorhanden, das man benötigt und weit mehr als wir erwartet haben (z.B. eine reichliche Erstausstattung von Lebensmitteln und Badehandtücher für die Thermen). Die Lage ist perfekt um die Insel zu erkunden. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Besonders werden wir das Sofa mit Meerblick vermissen.
