Baita Dai Nonni - La Vista Apartments

Baita dai Nonni is much more than just a holiday home.


This is where I grew up—among laughter, long shared meals, and the aroma of traditional dishes like polenta and pizzoccheri lovingly prepared by my grandmother for the whole family. Today, this cabin opens its doors to those seeking an authentic Valtellina experience, made of simplicity, nature, and meaningful moments together.


The house is spread over three levels and can accommodate up to 11 guests:


In the basement, the tavern becomes the heart of conviviality: cool in the summer, with a large table perfect for gathering, and a pellet stove to create a warm atmosphere during colder seasons.


On the ground floor, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a rustic-style dining room, and a cozy living room with a pellet stove. There is also a small room with a sofa bed and the main bathroom with a shower.


Upstairs, a spacious open-plan area is divided into two sleeping zones: double beds, a bunk bed, and a single bed, designed for simple and shared living. A second service bathroom is also available.


Outside, a balcony overlooking the Valtellina mountains leads you to the large garden, where time seems to slow down. A small stream flows next to the barbecue area, while the gazebo with dining table, sun loungers, and a swing invites you to relax and enjoy the outdoors.


Good to know:


The cabin is perfect for families and groups, but it retains the charm of a traditional mountain home: there is only one shower and one boiler, so for larger groups a bit of coordination is needed… just like in the old days.
