“Well thought out cottage design very well presented but testing for size - just an extra 5% of space would yielded 20% increase in convenience and enjoyment. Hosts and neighbours are excellent. Parking is unusual but workable. As a couple (one Aussie and one Aussie born in Yorkshire) we really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would highly recommend it. Walk to village is 10 minutes and huge number of attractions within 40 mins.”

“Spent 4 nights in this lovely, comfortable and well equipped property. Great location with walks from the door and well placed to explore the Holme Valley, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, National Coal Mining Museum and for wandering off to the Peak District. Also convenient for Huddersfield. Quiet location minutes from Almondbury where there are shops, pubs cafe and also from Farnley Tyas and it’s pub. Note: the property is on a bus route to Huddersfield. Would we stay again? Definitely ”

“Lovely little cottage. We booked here as it was close to Cannon Hall Farm, Hall and gardens, which was the main purpose of our visit -10mins drive up the road! We travelled over 4 hours to get there.Parked on the road, small driveway to other properties you could probably stop outside to unpack if needed but we walked up from the road a few metres.We had all we needed for our stay - pots, pans utensils, towels, toilet rolls, washing up liquid etc. after reading the reviews I took some extra...

“This is an awesome location to base yourself whilst exploring Yorkshire, the cottage was exactly as described and Joanne was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Everything you need is in the cottage it is well laid out and can comfortable sleep 6. the directions on how to reach the cottage were spot on and you should follow them. Would we go back again that is a definite yes.”
