“I was looking for a dog-friendly place where I could decompress after more than 24 hours of travel with my two energetic dogs and where there was parking and enough room bc I had to add a trailer to my car. I had several questions before I arrived, and the owners were very responsive. Once there, there were a few minor issues, and the owner responded very timely and with solutions. “On arrival we were told that VRBO "should have never allowed us to book". 20 minutes of waiting later, they told us it was their msitake and we did indeed have a room. The room itself had stained walls, food on the wall in the kitchen, paint spray spatter all over the kitchen appliances, no pans to use in the oven and dirty dishes in the cupboard. Breakfast is laughably bad as well. Old microwaved pork sausage and bagged eggs were the mainstay. We will never stay again. ”

Tim had left a bottle of champagne and chocolate cake for us since he knew it was our anniversary, which was an incredibly thoughtful and kind gesture. The cottage was clean, cute and cozy and the location was incredibly convenient to wineries, breweries and downtown Middleburg. It was truly a staycation to remember!”

Beware of that when dealing with this host, as something might happen when they’re just dropping off the face of earth. This situation canceled the day I was supposed to check in, and cost me $150 extra as I took my money to a competitor.”
