The house was clean and welcoming! The location was wonderful! We spent all of time outside! The beach location seriously felt private, and was perfect for our kids! Host, we’re welcoming and even checked in during our stay to make sure we were ok! We will definitely be back!

Quiet paradise

What a wonderful stay we had! Our dogs enjoyed the fenced backyard and private beach access. Close to the ferry to downtown Galveston and then 10min drive to restaurants and shops on the peninsula. The master bed was super comfortable with gorgeous views of the water. Very clean overall. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great spring break

First of all the property is amazing the hosts were very responsive we didn’t need anything. Everything was just as Vrbo says it was this is the perfect place for a family to have a nice quiet spring break or take a quick 17min ferry ride over to Galveston and go to all of the tourist destinations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be staying again soon

Lovely July 4th stay

The house was very nicely decorated just as the pictures show in the listing. We had a lovely time watching the ships and fireworks from the front porch. If you are looking for a quiet beach to relax this is it!

Grandkid Trip

We stayed at Crystal Cove Cottage with our 4 granddaughters. The house is beautiful and very clean. The location is great, beach was never crowded, although there was quite a bit of litter. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe.

Great Place!

We enjoyed how close the house was to the beach. It is the closest I have ever been in Galveston/Bolivar. Usually the dune areas are quite long but this one was very short. The house is very nice. We will probably be back.

Beachfront Beauty

We had an amazing stay at the Crystal Cove Cottage. The decor is beautiful and so serene. Every detail is thought of and the home was spotless. The beds and linens were super comfy! The best part was dining and hanging outside on the large porch and taking in the beauty of the gulf. We even saw dolphins one morning! Our family left feeling relaxed and recharged. Thank you to our wonderful hosts.

Beach Getaway

A wonderful little gem on the beach!!! This was a quick getaway for our family. Our children LOVE the beach and Crystal Cove Cottage was simply amazing! All of our needs were met and the hosts went above and beyond for us. For our short time there we made so many BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES! Thank you again to Carolyn & Preston for making us feel at home!!! This place is amazing. Extremely clean, the decor is beautiful, and the deck overlooking the beach/ship & cruise line channel is beautiful. The beach is feet away from the beach. The bbq'ing on the deck overlooking the beach with the breeze was so relaxing. The beach is secluded and very clean. Hands down I will return. Thank you Carolyn and Prescott for an amazing stay. It was just what I needed!!!

Relaxing Beachfront Vacation

This vacation home was truly amazing! The pictures were spot on. It was so refreshing to pull into the gate, close it behind us & let our dog out to explore the nice size yard. It was also so nice to walk our dog at Fort Travis Seashore Park just next door. The oversized porch was lovely with a spectacular view of the gulf. We really enjoyed watching the ships come in & out. The home is beautifully decorated & is so relaxing. It had everything we needed & more. We look forward to staying here again!!

wonderful weekend vacation!

The check in/out instructions were very detailed and clear. The property was updated, decorated tastefully, well maintained and squeaky clean. The neighborhood was private, quiet and very close to the Ferry, Fort Travis Park and the jetty. There were so many thoughtful details such as candles, extra flashlight, extra blankets, picnic basket ….the list is endless! The porch was amazing with an impressive view of the gulf. We really enjoyed watching the ships and all the shorebirds. Thank you for making our vacation spectacular! We will definitely be back to stay again in the future

Great house and quite Beach

This is a great house near a quite beach. The house was great. The views of the ocean is wonderful, with a quick few steps over the sand dune to the beach. This is next to the shipping channel so you will see big ships throughout the day. The ferry ride takes between 45 min to typically 1.5 hours. We did have one day at noon during spring break that took 2.5 hours to cross on the ferry so plan your day accordingly if you want to go to Galveston. Generally early morning or late at night are the bet times to cross by ferry.

Best view and as close to a private beach as possible

This house is very different from any of the other houses we have stayed at on the beach. The beach is situated between a bird aviary sanctuary and a wall to break up the waves. Needless to say, the waves were not huge. This was perfect for my young children as well as for paddleboarding & kayaking without fear of tipping over. We saw dolphins from the front porch and met really nice fishermen who taught our kids about catching crabs. My whole family loved it. Communication with the host was great. They don't use a property management service so I could actually contact them. It was a wonderful stay and we will most likely be back.

Comfort & Views galore!

Overall a comfortable house and wonderful location. The house is beautifully decorated and the views are amazing! We enjoyed relaxing on the beach and spending many hours on the comfortable deck chairs watching birds, jumping fish and all the ships and having family conversation time, basically doing a whole lot of nothing which was spectacular. Enjoyed many walks on the beach collecting shells and watching hermit crabs. Some helpful tips:The beach itself is public so there will be families spending the day. There will be some trash washed up on the beach but no more than any other public area. The ferry wait can be annoying. It took us 2 hours coming over on a Friday night and 1 hour on a Monday morning. Plan accordingly.Pantry wise there is not much supplied but The Super Store is down the highway and has everything you need! Carolyn is a wonderful host! She was super accommodating, helpful and easy to communicate with.

Very clean property and as described in the listing. Quiet area and steps from the beach so it was easy to take the dogs for a walk. A ferry is needed to get to it from Galveston, but it's free. No noise can be heard from the ships / port so it was quiet.Easy communication with qith the hosts.
