Amazing stay!!!

Our stay here was amazing! I can’t explain how beautiful the house was, so clean and welcoming, had everything we needed and more! The view from our balcony was so beautiful it didn’t feel real! Beach access from our backyard and PRIVATE beach!!! I cant stop recommending this place to everyone, this is a great stay! Will be coming back soon!!!

Nice property for families with small children

We really enjoyed this place, and appreciated the added child safety of the it being completely fenced in, as well as the convenience of games and beach toys being provided. The Gilchrist beach is much less crowded than Crystal Beach, but this location is not quite as good as the house we usually stay in about a mile closer to Crystal Beach. This house is very close to the water, but the beach access was a little difficult, considering the sand dunes and built up shell and seaweed area in front of the dunes. When tide is in, theres very little beach, as some cars and golf carts go by occasionally, so you have to leave a narrow path for them. Also, the beach is covered with broken shells, so you really need to wear shoes on the beach and in the water. Also, I wasn't a fan of the beds, as they were not firm enough for us, but rather were so soft that you sunk into the mattresses some. The kitchen had nice appliances, and was well supplied, other than only having a few plastic drinking glasses, and 2 stemless plastic wine glasses. Another positive was how quickly the owner answered our questions. Be aware that the house sways a little at times, but this didnt really bother us.

Oceanfront Gilchrist Getaway was GREAT

Cannot say enough good things about the house, the location and the owner. They checked in the morning after our first nite just to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. They were responsive (almost within minutes ) to a few random questions. I loved the location, a little quieter area of the beach. The house was just as presented in the description, we will be staying here again!!

Perfect getaway

House was secluded & right on the water. Host communicated well & responded quickly. Only issues was the WiFi went out after a storm & the cell signals were spotty. Host quickly communicated updates & service was restored with a few hours. We would definitely stay here again.

Good Communication

This was out 2nd visit to the Regal Seagull. Our trip was planned a week after Hurricane Beryl. We were able to easily communicate to find out if there was any damage to the property before making the trip. It's a nice, relaxing spot close to the water, not as much traffic on the beach, so its nice for the kids to play.

This house is so close to the beach! We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying our private time on the beach. The house was clean and decorated nicely. The beds are so incredibly comfortable. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. We had a very nice stay!

Heaven on earth

Absolutely beautiful home. Zane was a pleasure to deal with. Fenced yard was perfect for our fur babies. The lift is a game changer for moving luggage. We will book this property again.

Beautiful get together!

Loved it. 2nd visit here. Everything is nice, organized & clean.We had a wonderful time with family from Laredo, TX. Others came to visit during the day. Weather was chilly so we rented a golf cart to ride on beach so everyone could enjoy. Would love to stay again in late summer so we can enjoy water. ..Efren & Nereida

Perfect Location

We loved the site...just between the main road and beach. Photos of sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. Our view of the beach, only 20 steps from the house, was stunning. We viewed dolphins swimming in the waters right off the beach along with birds feeding and flying by. The shell combing on the beach was beyond expectations. It seems the house provided us everything we needed except food. They even had a can of bug spray and so glad we had it because the mosquitos on the beach and under the house were really bad due to the rain they had recently. Beds were comfortable as was everything in the house. Very clean. Hosts were so responsive and answered all our questions. The lift was so wonderful to use for moving our items from and to the car. We would love to stay there again...and as soon as we can. Those sunrises and sunsets were such blessings.

Zane and Tracy make Bolivar the best destination to relax, absorb the ocean breezes, the sunrises and sunsets, and endless beach walks. This property is perfectly located, well appointed, and so comfortable. This is the ONLY place we stay on Bolivar Peninsula…so looking forward to the next one…thanks, y’all!!

Perfect private quiet beach vacation

I wanted a beach front home for my family and this couldn’t have been better. The ocean is right out your back door. Abundance of shells on the beach, very private. The home has a lift for all your luggage and groceries so you don’t have to haul everything up the stairs. The beds were super comfortable, I’ve always hated hotel beds but these felt like I was back at home. The kitchen is stocked with most of the tools you need, including coffee, laundry soap, dish soap, even dog bowls in the house in downstairs in the closet. There’s a tv in every room which my son was excited about. The washer and dryer were so convenient and clean and easy to use. I would recommend this house and the managers to everyone looking for a beach trip. I texted them multiple times and got responses immediately. Wanted to give people a heads up, we looked for “groceries” on our phone gps, it was late at night and we wanted to get a quick collection for dinner and breakfast and it sent us to this gas station in High Island that charged us way too much, and the other closest was 30 minutes to Winnie. But the next day we discovered just 10 miles in the other direction is Boliver and there are nicer places to go, including a funny grocery store shaped like a castle that has everything you could need for a beach stay. Also a couple dollar stores, restaurants, etc. We went to Galveston one evening via the ferry it was real quick and easy on and off both ways.

Amazing Property!!

Zane and Tracy are amazing hosts! Best hosts I’ve ever had. 😊Great communication with quick response to questions. The house is right on the beach. The beach is secluded where there are lots of unique seashells. The house has a great setup and it was super clean. It is dog friendly. There are all kinds of utensils, pots & pans and supplies. 6 people on all of our devices and didn’t have any issues with internet. Had bbq grill and great deck furniture to enjoy the view. Really a home away from home… right on the beach!! Highly recommend this property!! We will be back!!

Port Bolivar

Nice place right on the beach. The kids enjoyed hunting for shells and playing in the water. There was hardly anyone else in the beach, I don't know if that's due to the location or the fact it is October, either way we are not complaining! The only real negative were the mosquitoes, but I don't think there is much you can do about that in Texas 😊 We would definitely recommend to others.

Great Beach location

The view was amazing. The property was clean and decorated nicely. We enjoyed the proximity of the beach and the ease of communication with the host. There was not much open on the peninsula during our stay but perhaps there is more during the summer. Getting to the ferry to go to Galveston eas convenient.
