  • Cottage on James is centrally located to everything that Port Fairy has to offer. Leave the the car and stroll to town, Pea Soup cove or any of Port Fairy's many eateries.

    This well appointed historic cottage offers tranquil ambiance with modern conveniences. It is well suited for the perfect family getaway. Cottage on James, circa 1855, is centrally located to everything that Port Fairy has to offer. Leave the car and plan your route; stroll a short distance to town, walk through the Reserve to Pea Soup cove or head to the popular East Beach via the river walk in just 10 minutes. Enjoy Port Fairy's many eateries and boutique shopping.

    Cottage on James sleeps up to 6 guests; two queen bedrooms and a third room with two single beds. It is a lovely, spacious cottage with two living areas at either end of the house. The main living area has an open plan kitchen lounge/dining area with french doors leading out to the large enclosed lawn area with outdoor furniture.

    There is rear access to the property with ample area for parking a boat.

    Head to South Beach's Pea Soup, which is perfect for children with its shallow water, wonderful sands and rock pools. Or East Beach if you are hitting the surf.

    The area offers a wide variety of scenery and attractions, with opportunities for coastal and inland walking, bird watching, fishing, canoeing, horse-riding, boat trips to name but a few. In short, there is something for everyone all year round to enjoy in historic Port Fairy.

    Note: Gas wood fire is display purpose only, not operational. Please use the split system for heating

Relaxing Family Break

Perfect size for our family of teens and dog - lots of room for everyone. Very close to the main street and shops and cafes and also only a short walk to the beach. Quiet and peaceful. Would definitely like to come back.

Great house in a great central location.

This property was perfect for our short stay for a family of 5 in Winter. It’s in a great central location within walking distance to beaches as well as to everything the town of Port Fairy has to offer. House was clean, comfortable and warm.

Great Location
