Very spacious and clean. Short walk to the beach. Nice community with a couple of dining choices. Beautiful large pool with plenty of pool chairs. The freezer will not keep things frozen or make much ice, so just be prepared for that. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect house in the perfect location for our trip to Port St Joe and surrounding area! Proximity to the beach is excellent! Oyster Shack is well equipped with all you need for a beach vacay!

Family Spring Break getaway

We had an amazing visit!! The beaches are so close and St. Joe is such a cute city to grab dinner or ice cream. Small town vibes, we love it here!!

Great getaway!!!

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The community was a great fit for us. Live entertainment was a short 6 minute walk away! Short walk to the beach that was absolutely beautiful!!! Fun was had by all!

The Oyster Shack is a great place to be to enjoy the beach, for scalloping, for shelling and for taking in some good eats! Great “sisters get-away” with a great location! Excellent follow-up by owner to our requests.

We had a wonderful stay at The Oyster Shack! I had a few questions during our stay and was given an immediate response every time. We cooked a couple of nights and had all we needed. It was super clean and there was a starter pack of detergent for the dishwasher and laundry. I would say if you are going to do more than 2 loads of either of those bring your own or you will run out. There is an option to rent the golf cart in the garage while you are there. We chose not to do that because the youngest person with us was 16 so we enjoyed the walking. It took us about 5 min to walk to Bruno’s and maybe 7-8 min to walk to the beach or pool. The teens with us enjoyed walking to and from the shops for ice cream or snacks. The neighborhood was extremely safe and friendly and was not crowded AT ALL. It was like we were tucked away from all the summer beach chaos!We traveled into Port St Joe for dinner most nights. No crowds. Parking spots everywhere. No wait to eat. Maybe we just got lucky. Food was amazing! Sisters Restaurant is a must while you are there!We drove over to Rish State Park one day to go to the beach there. For 6 we were all given access to the restrooms, beach, pavilion, etc. They even had a pool which was really nice. We looked forward to coming back to The Oyster Shack every night. I would definitely stay here again!

Oyster Shack is far from a shack

This was such a nice location! Convenient walkways to the beach (including sand chairs that carry everything you want to take to the beach) and a short car ride to grocery and small town boutiques and amazing eating establishments. Our teens even enjoyed taking a break from their busy schedules to unwind in this quiet and quaint community!

great pool - did not use it. very clean, well stocked kitchen- one could live there and not buy another kitchen utencil. towels were luxurious and dried well. easy entry access. beach location access excellent. the mattress in the queen room might need to be changed but that could be me. very noisy when you go in and got and a little thin for me...but that's me my wife was fine.

The property was very clean and comfortable. The beach is only a 5 minute walk. I was surprised at how big the entire complex there was. We were not able to make it to the pool due to the crowd but we had a really nice time at the beach and surrounding areas. If you do not walk a lot, you will want to rent the golf cart.

Peaceful and cozy

My family attended a wedding in Port St Joe. We wanted a house that would be large enough for the entire family, but wouldn’t break the bank. This property was perfect! The house was beautiful, and just the right size for us. The walk to the beach on the boardwalk was great for the kids to get to the beach safely. The area was not busy, so everything about the trip was peaceful. We will definitely be back!
