The property itself is very nice, spotless, and feels luxurious throughout. Everything is extremely well maintained, including the rooms, beds, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. It is also dog-friendly, which was a big plus. The location is excellent, with a lovely beach view and easy access for walks, including taking a dog out, making it a very pleasant place to stay overall.
However, some aspects of the hosting experience felt uncomfortable and inconsistent. There was an undertone that the owner was unhappy that I had booked early at a lower price. I was told a dog bed would be brought to the room, but this never happened. On arrival, the first interaction focused on what I do for work and why I was staying, which felt unnecessary.
I was given a breakfast selection sheet, but when I chose the full fry option, the owner pointed to and explained in detail the most basic breakfast on the printout, while the fry option was only lightly ticked and not mentioned unless I specifically asked about it. I ultimately did not have breakfast as I left early the next morning.
There was also inconsistency around dinner. I was told dinner was not provided at the property, despite it being offered to other guests. An alternative dinner at another location was suggested and repeatedly encouraged, but when I declined, the response felt noticeably negative.
