This hotel is amazing. In spite of Expedia screwing up what room I reserved, the staff was incredibly accommodating. HiLo gets 5 stars, Expedia gets 2.

Close to everything. Staff was super friendly. Room was very small and had some tile broken in shower and the walls beat up a little. Comfortable bed.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff very friendly. The room was nice and comfortable with the exception of the beds. They were far too hard for me. My biggest issue however, was the surrounding area. Everywhere you look there are people actively using drugs and there are homeless all over the place. I was approached twi e just walking across the street to where i parked the car. I walked a block to get snacks at the convenience center and it was a frightening experience.

A beautifully restored historic building, in the perfect central location, with a great restaurant. The staff are absolutely the best. The rooms are big and everything is modern and clean. The TV was smarter than me, but got along great with my phone.

The hotel itself is gorgeous but the surrounding area is not safe. Parking is complicated unless you are willing to pay $55 for valet. For overnight parking that charges $20 I highly recommend Southpark Garage.

Everyone from the door attendant to the front desk staff to the bartender at the restaurant were all super friendly. Rooms are small, but inefficient. Bathroom is great too!

The Good: Waitstaff was friendly and attentive during check in. Food was very good at the restaurant. Room had a very nice bathroom, and plenty of seating options good lighting. Charging solutions provided for those who forgot cables/charging bricks. The Bad: The advertised "city view" i paid extra for was blocked by taller building with a view onto a roof littered with garage and broken down HVAC units. The ice machine didn't provide enough ice to fill a single glass and when I requested ice, they told me to go try the ones on the other floors and ultimately were not helpful and would not use the ice from the bar or kitchen The website and phone in the room advertised room service yet they stated that is not an option. Their website cites $47 valet, but the charge was $55. After paying the $55, there was no offer to help with bags out of our car or to our room. 1 of 2 provided keycards worked only when held to the reader and moved around for 10-15 seconds. Overall - very unhappy for the high price paid.

Quick, quiet, industrial elegance
From the minute we walked in the door to the staff and establishment met or exceeded our expectations. Staff was welcoming, professional, and engaged. The room was spacious, clean, quiet industrial elegant. Would highly recommend a stay here and if our travels ever bring us back to Portland I will definitely make this my hotel of choice.

Expedia offered and we purchased a room with a “city view”. The room we were provided faced a drab brick wall. The front desk would not rectify the situation or refund the additional cost. Taking payment for a product and then not providing the purchased product or offering a refund is dishonest.

The hotel itself was nice The location is the worst. Harassed every time I was outside the doors of hotel, did not ever feel safe and was impossible to walk anywhere near the hotel due to all the homeless camps, drug activity After hour place open till 6am across the street Slept 30 minutes at a time due to all the noise as I was in and outer corner room right above all the late night activities I have stayed in countless cities and hotels and bar far my worst experience i have ever had
