My family and I was in town for my granddaughters college graduation. This home was idea for us due to the space for 2 little ones and 4 adults and being less than 15miles from the college was perfect. This was actually our 2nd time renting this home, that should tell you something :)

Short stay

We had a short stay but with family and kids it seemed more feasible to have a larger space than hotel rooms. It was a great experience! The outdoor patio was wonderful. Master bedroom/ bathroom allowed for some great relax space as well! All in all a wonderful option.

Cozy place to stay near Fort Gregg-Adams

Came to meet our daughter's boyfriend and attend his AIT National Guard graduation. This is a perfect place to stay! Close to everything, comfortable home with all the amenities you need. The host is very quick to respond to any issues and was very helpful when our daughter was there for a week before we got there.

Perfect spacious home away from home

We just loved staying here. We all had our own amazing rooms. Everything was stylish and clean. Essentials were provided like shampoo, body wash, and conditioner in the bathrooms as well as sugar, coffee and tea in the kitchen. We needed assistance once and the host helped us out immediately. Very kind. Our dog enjoyed the space as well. Thank you.

Ants, spiders

When we arrived, we found ants in the family room. So we went to the store and bought some ant spray. That evening two large spiders were in the family room. We thought we had taken care of the issue but when we woke up the next morning, there were ants in the guest bath all over the toothpaste and toothbrushes. So we went to the store and bought some ant bait. There were hundreds of them that swarmed to the ant bait. If someone is going to rent a property, they should hire a professional exterminator to ensure this does not occur. Also, the molding next to the wood floor had several nails that weren’t flush causing a hazard with bare feet. Other than that, the house was fine and the location for what we were doing was fine.

Time with our boy.

We came to VA to see our son, grandson, and boyfriend. He is stationed at the base. We also went to Maymount, Naval Base, the beach , a few museums and some shopping. The house is wonderfully located for all the things we did. It was clean ,easy to get to, lots of parking,and alot of outside space to spread out.

Would definitely recommend this!

From the start to the end of our stay, It was GREAT! When we walked in there was a welcome note, snacks, and waters left for us. We came to this area to visit our son who is in the army and attend his graduation. House was extremely clean and rules were easy to follow. We have used VRBO for plenty of trips and this was by far the best house. It was large enough for all of us. It was conveniently located for just about everything. Great restaurant nearby for Italian food, was the best food of our stay. Lots of attractions within 1 to 2 hours, like Washington DC or Virginia Beach. Our only dislike was having to use streaming services provided with TV (Netflix, Paramount plus, were able to download disney plus from apps, no hulu etc...) We were able to use internet with NO problems at all but again no cable. There is a TV in each room, so if someone wants to watch anything different from main room they can.

Visiting fort Lee

The experience was amazing, get to spend a lot of family time visiting my Marine at Fort Lee. The house is spotless and the owner Rosa amazing friendly came to the house to give us a tour of the house an d show us all the amenities. Plenty of clean towels and linens, shampoo, soap, conditioner even detergent, softener and dry sheets to do our laundry Strongly recommend this place: Sunnyside Manor
