Wonderful vacation.
We were 4 adults vacationing for 1st time in TCI.
The house was very spacious for us. Great breeze and also used bedroom AC briefly on a couple nights. Kitchen area had home-comforts which we used daily. Went out to eat on a few occasions, then cooked "at home" or got take-out the rest of the time. Good restaurant (Las Brisas) via a path at the back of the house. Was a 63-second walk (yes, I timed it) to the entrance. Ate there, got take-out there, had drinks there, and went for a tour of Chalk Sound there on a pontoon boat.
Very good location. Few-minute walk to Sapodilla beach with a relatively quiet spot for us. But, a short walk down the beach and you could rent jet skis, or have a drink. We used the paddle board/kayaks every day.
The sand is very soft and powdery. There is not much wind on that beach, and you can walk out quite a ways and still be no more than knee deep. We thought it would be a great spot for families with little ones to play in the water since it was shallow.
Almost no traffic by the house. House repairs (construction) across the street but was never any bother.
Used the TV only once, but was available. Used the CD player all day.
The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The large couch is as orange as it looks in the pictures, but was so comfortable I fell asleep on it twice.
Bathrooms were spacious enough. 2 were attached to the bedrooms, and a separate small bathroom off the family room. Plenty of hot water for all 4 of us. Shower by the pool also with warm water.
Never ate inside as we opted for the back deck table for meals. There is a very nice gazebo near the pool. Comfortable couches and a ceiling fan.
Used the (heated) salt water pool a lot. Just lounged in it and talked for hours.
The property manager (Neko !) was accessible and prompt for any little bumps we experienced.
We rented a car, which gave us much more "independence". We went to Grace Bay, Turtle Cove, Bight Beach, and Long Bay. Grace Bay has the "action" and there are shops, dining and the big hotels. Long Bay is a kite-surfing spot. Honestly, for us, we liked the relative peace of Sapodilla Beach and Chalk Sound.
Convenient gas-mart 2 minutes away. Sunny's grocery store ~ 5-7 minutes away. IGA ~ 10 minutes (very large selection).
Best of all is the new owner Michelle. She responds almost immediately to any question and is very helpful. You can tell she wants to please.
