Overall, the location was wonderful and walkable to everything. The check-in process was a little confusing and it was not clear from the instructions that the door to unit two was on the backside of the house. The apartment was relatively well stocked, and the bed was pretty comfy in the main bedroom. We could not figure out how to get the mini splits to work and there weren’t any instructions. Also, there were a few things that really needed to be updated or were a bit inconvenient. The dishwasher is tiny and in rough shape so we ended up hand washing all of our dishes. You can’t open the bathroom door when the bathroom mat is down, but we made the mistake of showering with the bathroom door open and made the smoke alarm go off. The oven worked fine, but it was kind of hard to use the stove. I’m glad that we were able to bring the dogs but I think the 1500 damage deposit is a little excessive, especially considering that the apartment is not newly updated. I’m not sure the price was worth it for the size and condition but certainly was for the location, although not having parking and not being able to stay in the alley for long made the move in and move out a little challenging.
