“The staff are very helpful, and polite, nothing is too much trouble the hotel is very clean, beds are very comfortable, rooms cleaned daily it was all very good couldn't fault anything”

“The sea view room was great! Would recommend. Breakfast is an amazing selection! Staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s approx 15-20 scenic min walk into centre of Torquay.”

“If you’re staying with a lager dog (mine is a springer spaniel) you’ll be put in one of the rooms under the Appleby’s bar. As a result the rooms are dated and in desperate need of updating, and being under the outside area of the bar it’s very noisy (Saturday night especially). “Julia and Jamie were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning, with plenty of choice available. “We had lovely time staying at the Cleveland Hotel. The room was excellent and the staff was very helpful.”

“Brilliant hotel with many things to keep the family entertained. Great breakfast. Room could do with some updating but location brilliant too. Would definitely stay again.”

“The woman who greeted us, was so lovely!!! Made us feel welcomed and at home and would recommend to anyone visiting.”

“A little dated in the room, but it was clean! Had an issue with the tv but it was sorted promptly!”

“Very clean staff helpful”

Only one minor criticism of the room in that I found one of my pillows was flat & the other like having my head on a rock. However, my wife’s were fine, so that made everything alright as she told me to stop moaning😉 Our thanks to the owner Peter for the recommendation for the best fish...
