1st time visiting Puerto Viejo

Very nice house very close to Playa Negra and adjacent restaurants and town; the accommodations were great and very comfortable; we cooked and were able to use some fresh herbs from their herb garden, incredible stay!

Always perfect!

This is our second time staying at this property. The location is great and the property is beautiful. We really love this place and will always stay here when we are in Puerto Viejo. We highly recommend this property!

Fantastic, quiet location close to everything

Beautiful property! Great location away from the noise but close to town. Pool was awesome and house was clean and comfortable. Very secure location and we would definitely stay here again.

Caribbean Stay

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was such a beautiful house and had everything we could possibly want and need. Minutes from the beach and a short walk or drive from town. Simple and fast check in/check out process and our host was very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful House

Everything was perfect. Beautiful property and the swimming pool was great. The people are very responsive to any questions or requests. We had a great time. I highly recommend the place and we plan to stay again the next time we are in Puerto Viejo

Fantastic!

This was our second time in this lovely house and we will be back. Great A/C in the bedrooms, well appointed kitchen, really nice salt water pool and an extremely responsive management company to answer all your questions and take care of any concerns or issues that may come up.

A slice of heaven!

If you choose to cook, the kitchen is well equipped. Beds & pillows are comfortable. Privacy & luxury all wrapped up in your wonderful house. The pool is an exceptional bonus. Hard to leave. Would definitely recommend to others.

Perfect place to work and play!

We spent 1 month at this property and it became our home. We worked and had our vacation here and were able to easily enjoy the surroundings were easy to access by car AND by bike! We turned in our rental car for bikes for 2 weeks, and it was great! This property is cared for, clean, centrally located and the property managers were very responsive and extremely helpful! I highly recommend this property!

Rise management was excellent, 5 star, highly recommend. Great location, can walk to Playa Negra, beautiful beach, but neighborhood was noisy early am and late pm. Great house and property layout, but patio and interior have outdateted furnishings. Cookware and appliances were quality. Taking shower experienced loud grinding-growling noise which was a bit unnerving, should add that detail to guest notebook. Washer got imbalanced with small loads. Description of salt water pool is not accurate. Required closing of screens and doors is a bit cumbersome. Maintence schedule for pool and gardening need to be added to guest book with advisement not to leave personal items on patio. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Construction and maintenance

Nice property. But there was too much noise from the neighbour who owned the property. They also came in and as they pleased without letting us know beforehand. Theres no privacy here.

It was clean and comfortable but most importantly, it was equipped with many amenities that the average vacationer could want. The cookware was sufficient, knives were sharp and there was a small assortment of cooking ingredients. I alway appreciate a rental property that keeps its guests comfort as key and this place certainly does! (So much so that we even bought, and left, wine glasses!) And Fabian, the property manager, was very friendly and so helpful in giving suggestions and answering questions! We will definitely book here again when we return!

The perfect home away from home.

We had an amazing four day stay at Palma Verde. The house has everything you could need, and was impeccably cleaned when we arrived. The kitchen has everything you will need and it was great to be able to do our own laundry. There are quite a few hotels and rentals around but it very private and quiet. Our kids were in the pool all day, while we relaxed in the hammocks or sat on the porch. Even though it’s in a newer development area, the garden is beautiful with tons of butterflies and hummingbirds buzzing around. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and a ten minute walk to a little market with a decent selection. It’s a much longer walk to get into town though so keep that in mind. We had rented a car so it was very easy. We were so sad to leave! It was a truly wonderful vacation spot.

Bonne location, confortable et agréable

Nous étions une famille de deux adultes et deux enfants de 7 ans. Nous avons séjourné 16 jours. Nous avons apprécié la location. La communication avec le staff était très bonne : entretien de la piscine et les quelques problèmes résolus dans un délai de quelques heures maximum… c’était essentiellement un petit problème de court-circuit lié à une pluie tropicale. A noter, nous avons eu deux ménages compris durant notre séjour. La location est plutôt au calme, les équipements fonctionnent parfaitement, la piscine est au soleil donc chauffe rapidement après une pluie. L’emplacement est bien pour profiter de la côte caribéenne et des parcs nationaux. Il y a un chantier qui se commence en face mais nous avons eu de la chance ce dernier ne nous a pas dérangé. Nos enfants ont également apprécié la maison avec piscine. De plus, la piscine était à leurs dimensions : petite piscine ( comme la grande majorité des maisons individuelles au Costa Rica ) mais très appréciable !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Palma Verde was exceptional- one of the best vacation rentals we've every stayed at. The online photos don't do the house and property justice- the lush gardens that frame the yard were beautiful- every morning we were greeted by hummingbirds, birds, bees, and the sounds of the jungle. The house itself is thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need, we lacked for nothing! The design and layout are fabulous- great airflow for keeping things cool (fans everywhere were lovely), screens to deter bugs while keeping the common space open to the outdoors, and with AC in the bedrooms we slept sooo comfortably. Although there were days we didn't even leave the property, the location is very convenient- a 5 min walk to the beach, walkable along the beach to Puerto Viejo if you don't want to drive, and good for exploring the surrounding area. Pool is great and night time "party lights" were super fun! Communication from Property Managers was prompt and helpful and the guest book was full of great information and suggestions. We recommend Sol de Caribe for dining out and Playa Punta Uva for beach days. This was a perfect rental for families- our 8 year old daughter was in heaven. We LOVED our stay at Palma Verde! Muchas Gracias- Palma Verde = Pura Vida!
