“We had a lovely stay in this beautiful Harpers Ferry home. It was so amazing to stay in the historical area and be close and able to walk to all the National Park sites. We were most attracted to that lovely porch and enjoyed our coffee there in the early morning, watching the town come to life. “Stayed four nights while our house was listed for sale. Had everything we needed, clean and comfortable and a great location a stone’s throw from all the coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques of downtown Leesburg. Bonus was the flower and garden festival. Location was mostly quiet but some street noise during the day/evening only which is to be expected so not an issue at all. House is wonderfully historic with all modern amenities/new upgraded appliances!”

“The house was as advertised and very clean. The house instructions were clear and check out instructions where minimal. We had some slight confusion on working the thermostat and the bedrooms became much warmer in the evening, than the main areas. But as long as you knew that you could turn the temperature way down. Overall, the house was very comfortable and was a great location for us to spend two evenings during our visit.”

“The schoolhouse was like stepping back in time. I loved all the special touches and attention to detail! The place was very clean and comfortable with an excellent mattress! The neighborhood was quiet and the location was perfect for us as we were visiting our son in Charles Town but also wanted some time in Shepherdstown. Much of the furniture, including the mattresses, is old and not necessarily the most comfortable, but the rest makes up for it.”

“My company, Mettle Events, Inc. are the timers for the Frederick Running Festival, and we like to stay in rentals vs. hotels. The Cabin was perfect! Clean, off-street parking, walkable location to restaurants & breweries, five minutes to our job site (the fairgrounds) and I loved that everything was labeled! the house rules were clear and easy to understand, and the price was right! We will definitely be returning to The Cabin!”

The property manager is very communicative and quickly answered any questions we had about the property. We would recommend staying here!”

I would not recommend this property to anyone who is the least bit challenged mobility-wise. The stairs are slick their configuration can be tricky for some folks. “This is a lovely home in a beautiful location. The hosts were wonderful and friendly. We were attending a wedding at Stone Tower Winery and this is the prefect location - less than a mile from the winery (great for that late night drive home from the wedding)! The home is also very close to downtown Leesburg.”

“This house is amazing as is the property. We were very comfortable here. Very peaceful. My only issue was the $$$ cleaning fee. The pots had to be washed due to cob webs. We had to strip the beds and pile the towels, take all the garbage out to the cans and load the dishwasher. What exactly does the $ fee cover?”
