We had a very nice stay at this hotel. There were some mixed experiences as we did not like the set dinner menu and the breakfast but were blown away by the lunch. We would recommend to not play music at the pool and change the black and white plastic cups to at least seethrough plastic glasses which would better fit the rest of the hotel experience.

Beautiful hotel. The staff is the best part. The barefoot concept is great. If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway this is the one. The ocean is not very accessible as it is mainly coral so keep that in mind when booking- you will most likely be 99% in the pool not the ocean.

Perfect Stay at Sensation Resort

Our February 2025 stay at Sensation Resort Hotel in Zanzibar was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a truly memorable 6-day stay. The service was always friendly —staff members went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Whether it was the attentive housekeeping, the friendly reception team, or the restaurant staff who always served with a smile, we felt truly valued as guests. Every meal was a delightful culinary experience, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients and a mix of local and international flavors; the variety and presentation were top-notch. Our bungalow was a perfect retreat—modern, spacious, and designed for ultimate comfort. The interiors were stylish. Enjoying the peaceful beach added to the overall charm of the resort. Beyond the accommodations and dining, the overall atmosphere of Sensation Resort Hotel was serene and relaxing. The well-maintained grounds, lovely pool were fantastic. Most guests are European and it seems the hotel manager knows how to deliver for this clientele. Bring cash before you arrive here as there is no ATM at the resort and you will need some cash for tips! We highly recommend Sensation Resort Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway in Zanzibar. We will definitely return!

Enastående vacker plats

Så otillgängligt så det var svårt att förstå om någon resort skulle finnas . Väl framme öppnar sig en underbar resort som man blir kvar på tills det är dags att lämna . Stora möjlighet till långa beach promenader . Vänligt mottagande i receptionen under halmtak och lite bubbel var välkommet . Fråntagen skor är man barfota under hela vistelsen i den kritvita sköna sanden . Vacker långsmal pool med dynförsedda vilstolar och parasoller , all inclusive gäller med frukost lunch och middag. Lunchen bäst tyckte vi då middagen flera gånger var lite under medel . Vänlig personal och som alltid på Zanzibar lite långsam och glömsk . Oftast charmigt men ibland irriterande. Bra massage i vacker miljö . Villor med pool att föredra då de utan kändes lite små . Italienskt ägande och indisk manager . Tanzanisk personal i övrigt oftast från fastlandet. Bra plats ,att rekommendera.

Новый симпатичный отель с хорошим сервисом , персонал старается и это заметно, но я не согласна делить постель в 5-и звездочном отеле с тараканами, которые прыгают на тебя сверху ( в первом бунгало не было сетки москитной сверху, мы три раза меняли бунгало . Это омрачило пребывание в отеле, ничего подобного с нами еще не случалось. В отеле концепт - без обуви . Прекрасный пудровый песок и вы забудете об обуви на все время пребывания . Пляж средненький, но в отеле хороший длинный бассейн . Кажется 25 метров длиной. Еда нормальная, даже чёрная икра есть на завтрак. Японский ресторан на высшем уровне. Попробуйте туда пойти абсолютно голодными, иначе будет просто шоу.

We recently stayed at this incredible hotel in Zanzibar with my husband, and our experience was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by an exceptional team, including particularly attentive members such as Emilie, Frida, Adil, Issa, Eloge, Ali, Lucie, and many others. The hotel's unique location, covered in sand, gives it an authentic charm that sets it apart from other establishments. This creates a special atmosphere and adds a real plus to our stay. Every morning, we were delighted to enjoy a delicious breakfast carefully prepared, even when we had early departures for activities. The team was flexible and prepared breakfasts to go, greatly accommodating our busy schedule. Our favorite moment will undoubtedly be our last day. To our surprise, the team learned that we were recently married. In celebration, they organized a romantic dinner on the beach, surrounded by flowers, creating a truly magical atmosphere. We were deeply moved by this extra effort, and we want to warmly thank Emilie and Frida for this unforgettable moment. In conclusion, our stay at this hotel was a true gem. The exceptional hospitality, unique atmosphere, and personalized attention made our trip to Zanzibar a memorable experience. Undoubtedly, when we return to Zanzibar, our choice of accommodation is already made: it will unquestionably be this extraordinary hotel.
