“Lovely appointed hotel at the quiet end of The Esplanade closer to the airport. The front rooms are well appointed, but located directly above the restaurant so be prepared for noise. The nearby hospital (chopper) also adds to the noise. The staff were very helpful with luggage as there are no lifts. We felt the room was given a basic clean from the previous occupants because we were only staying one night. The floor was dirty and sticky and amenities not topped up. “We enjoyed a relaxing, peaceful and comfortable stay at Mt Cotton Retreat. Sue was a pleasure to deal with and kind enough to offer us a complimentary upgrade to a superior room in the Boutique Hotel. The forest surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed the indoor/outdoor areas where we could chill out and/or eat our meals. A comfortable bed, large bathroom and mid cons in our room made for a great stay. Thank you!”

“I was lucky to have a very high floor so views were amazing! The bed and pillows are five star. The only glitch was retrieving keys/cards from corner shop...its awfully unorganised and just a mess to search through. I figured it out, but im sure there are many who struggle. Im surprised there isn't another organised, designated area to collect them..like Circle on Cavill Hotels do.”
