I booked this for myself and my family. The door code to check-in was communicated clearly to us, however that is where things fell apart after that. We arrived late at night to find the unit unclean and disgusting. I documented these and submitted pictures to both the property owners and VRBO. It was so bad that we went and booked a hotel instead for our stay.
The following things were found that did not match the listing.
-Grime, spit and water spots all over bathroom mirrors
-Hair in tubs drains
-Mildew and mold on bathroom counters
-Black mold ring in all toilets as if the haven’t been flushed in 1-2 months
-Dead cockroach in 1 tub
-Black mold/mildew on shower curtains
-No clean towels
-All 3 beds appeared slept in with different bedding and bed frames that doesn’t match the listing.
-Dirty kitchen gloves, sponges and steel wool left in kitchen sink
-Dirty kitchen towels and pot left on counter
-Things just left lying around the house (scissors, plastic knife, etc.)
-Dirty floors
-Empty kitchen soap bottles
-Numerous stains on carpets
Overall, this place looked like someone lived there and not clean at all. I communicated this within the VRBO app to the property owner and they cited a “software bug” that caused it not to be cleaned and they attempted to text and call me on my cell instead of communicating with the VRBO app. The property owner supposedly refunded some money, however only about 70%. If you stay here, confirm that it is cleaned.
