Luxury Apartment Goja with heated infinity pool and Jacuzzi- near Dubrovnik

LOCATION

We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).

Apartment Goja is just 25 minute drive from Dubrovnik Airport, making it an easy transfer to the accommodation. Once over the border it is a 7-10 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Cavtat, Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. Dubrovniks historic city dates back to the 7th Century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of “King’s Landing” in the television series, “Game of Thrones”. A great way to see the city from the sea is by taking a kayaking tour, best taken early in the morning or at sundown. A great family day out is to take a boat tour to see the 3 Elaphite islands.

Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas, in the old town, and cafe bars that are nestled under the great “Platani” trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream. The main piazza holds a very colourful busy market each morning, selling fruit and vegetables that taste how they should. Cheese can be tried before you buy and shouldn’t be missed!
The river Trebisnijica winds itself through the town where the banks offer you a nice place to stroll, relax and to take refreshments.
On the mountains high above the town you will see several churches, all trying to take the highest position. Gracanica Monastery is really worth a visit, it’s not ornate but rich in the fact that all the paintings have been created by hand. Neighbouring it is an amphitheatre with events all year round and a Café bar. The bar has the most spectacular views over the city especially with a glass of wine at sundown-It’s also a great place for breakfast, with it being higher it is cooler!

There is a newly opened Water Park It’s something to offer for the whole family.
The waterpark is found at acquiescence Short ride out of town. The complex there also offers a gym,tennis courts, an Olympic size pool and a great Etno restaurant and a whole lot more!
Along with many other restaurants “Vukoje” winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town really has something for everyone.

Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further to Montenegro and the Fjords of Kotor and Perast.

THE SPACE

The private apartment is part of a small family resort and proudly commands views across the pool, over the mountains and the valley to the Adriatic Sea.
The entire apartment, large terraces, private infinity pool (10m x 4.5m) and Jacuzzi are waiting for you to come and enjoy. Pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at £15 per day. The Jacuzzi is heated all year round to the temperature required for your comfort. Please note the pool will not be filled from end of November until beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.

The accommodation is spacious sleeping 5, comfortable and contemporary in design. Waking up each morning to our view will make you believe you are still dreaming! Maybe take a swim before breakfast in the pool, with complimentary heating offered during the cooler months.

Relaxing on the large terrace by the infinity pool won’t be difficult! Sun-loungers, tables and a sun- umbrella are provided for your comfort. The outdoor lounge area is ideal for pre-dinner drinks, coffee and games. A stone BBQ is provided for you to cook and dine Alfresco by the pool whilst taking in the spectacular views.

Your evening can be rounded off ‘chill-axing’ in the Jacuzzi, with an after dinner drink, as you watch the sun going down on a perfect day.

The indoor living space is air-conditioned throughout, modern and open planned in design. A fully fitted kitchen has breakfast bar dining, filter coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine located separately.

For your relaxation, the lounge area offers you comfortable sofas, coffee table, Wi-Fi and satellite TV.

A luxury Master bedroom has a King-size bed with quality linens, built-in wardrobe and patio doors opening onto the pool terrace. The en suite has a bath, a walk-in shower and his and her sinks.

Air-conditioning is throughout the villa.

All this with the stunning panoramic views makes for comfortable living.

GUEST ACCESS

The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.

We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist won’t know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!

The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

All linen is included.

Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.

Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.

Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we offer a complimentary 2 hour mini housekeeping service once per week, servicing the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.

On request we can provide a full single pull out bed, large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.

We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged.
