Lovely farmhouse accommodation in beautiful countryside

We enjoyed a large family reunion in this beautiful part of the world. Our farmhouse was perfect with an attached barn conversion for the adults who wanted a little respite from the boisterous children at times! There is a gorgeous swimming pool and amazing jacuzzi that came into its element when the weather was not so good. There are many little terraces with table and chairs for a quiet read or evening drinks and plenty of space for the littlees to play. However the pool was by far the main attraction for them! We thoroughly enjoyed having all the bikes and there are numerous walks to enjoy the stunning countryside. The shops are 10-15 minutes drive away and there is a choice of local tennis courts. I thought the proximity to the golf course would be a negative but actually it was a positive, not only for the golf enthusiasts, but it also offered beautiful views and the little lakes of an evening walk were full of delightful little otter like mammals. Although a few bedrooms were fairly small they all had lovely en suites which were a godsend when we all wanted a showers at the same time! The only addition we would have appreciated was a hard copy manual of all the house rules/ information and local amenities etc. It was great having it all on line prior to arrival but a hard copy to peruse options for outings and rubbish info etc would have been useful. All in all we highly recommend Le Grange Sud for a relaxed holiday stay in the beautiful Dordogne. I must mention most importantly Tracey our host went above and beyond, she was so kind and helpful on all matters even buying various sporting products on Amazon on my behalf in readiness for your holiday. Also the housekeeper is brilliant and very sweet and babysat at short notice so that we could all go out and enjoy the local French cuisine one evening. Thank you Tracey and the team for a fabulous holiday!

Wonderful Property and host

We requested a booking in April 2022 for 3 nights at very short notice, Tracey was great from start to finish making everything run so smoothly. The property has everything you could need for both adults and Children. Situated just south west of Bergerac, surrounded by vineyards, the area is very idyllic We would definetly stay again!

Beautiful property in excellent location.

This beautiful property has been renovated to a very high standard. It was luxurious and comfortable with lots of space. There are different terraces and lots of wonderful outdoor furniture to enable everyone to be comfortable wherever they choose to be, with the group or in your own hidden corner of the gardens. The swimming pool is fabulous. Beds were comfortable with quality bed linen and lovely en suite bathrooms. Kitchens were extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend.

We visited La Grange with our whole family with an age range from 6 months to 80 years and all had a great holiday. The villa has facilities for all ages to keep everyone happy and we all enjoyed the family friendly local vineyards and restaurants. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked for next year!

Our Perfect Holiday Home

As other members of our family have stated in previous reviews,we visit this area regularly,as we love it, and we have family living locally.We always stay here.We take family and friends with us..It provides everything for everyone of all ages,and from a male perspective, the proximity of the golf course at Vigiers ,combined with the 30% discount Tracey has negotiated for guests is great. And, when not playing, the terraces provide excellent views over the course to watch. Heated pool area is great.

Perfect "Home Away" from home.

We love holidaying in the Dordogne,and always stay here. It is more than. "Home away" , a perfect spot for all ages, and you can take dogs with you as well, and an enclosed area is provided for them.. The facilities are too numerous to mention, but Tracey's excellent, comprehensive website will give you all the information you need. . Terraces and heated pool and area wonderful..If you can tear yourself away from all that this fantastic property has to offer, in the summer season the night markets in Eymet and Sigoules are great, and also the Sunday morning one in Soumensac. Vineyards, wine tasting, golf etc, all on your doorstep. A superb holiday base.

La Grange Sud is a beautiful villa with stunning views and in a great location with something for everyone within a 30 minute drive. The villa itself had everything you could ever need and the owners can't do enough to help ensure you have an amazing time. Fantastic for kids - we did canoeing doen the Dordogne, Chateau Bridoire and Accrobranche (both a MUST if you have kids). Such a lovely holiday in the most beautiful region of France. Best French Villa we’ve been to!

Our family lives all over the world and most years we try to meet up in France for a reunion. It is very time consuming to find a villa that suits all the ages in our family which range from 2 years to 82 years! Now that we have discovered La Grange we don’t need to look any further and will definitely be returning. Tracey the owner made everything so easy for us from the time we enquired and the whole experience was a pleasure. The house had everything we all needed and we all had a great holiday. Highlights were; having the chef to cook for us and drop off meals, playing golf at Vigiers and borrowing the golf equipment as the villa so we didn’t have to bring it with us, cycling to the great restaurants and of course enjoying the lovely pool with the views. Can’t wait to return next year!!!

A perfect house for a multi-generation holiday

Lovely traditional stone house in a fabulous setting - just as described . Very well fitted out and maintained with high quality equipment and Tracey and her team responsive to every request. We were 6 adults, one teenager and 4 under 4's and there was something for everyone, with plenty of room to be active or just relax. Wonderful views but only 15 minutes from a large supermarket. Visit to Chateau Feely vineyard is a must. Highly recommended holiday house.

Cycling in the sun

Everything about the property was perfect. Tracey has gone to an enormous amount of trouble to provide every facility. High quality kitchen equipment. There are so many different seating areas that we had a choice of sun or shade right through the day and evening. One of the highlights was a visit to Cafe 1500 in Saussignac. Plenty of good cycling in the area - we took our own, but Tracey provides a good selection of mountain bikes, helmets, kids bikes and even a toddlers carriage to fix to the back of an adult bike

First family holiday to France

after a short flight from southampton we were treated at the airport by chris the taxi transfer (kindly arrange by tracey) and whisked off to la grange with a beautiful 25 minute drive through the french country side. we had our 10 month old son with us and tracey had also arranged a car seat for us to save bringing our own. upon arriving we had some groceries waiting for us(again all got for us from through tracey) so we could eat and have a drink to unwind from the journey and start our holiday! the gite was very clean,tidy and had all the things that you would need and more for a relaxing stay. tracey supplied all we would need for our son,cot bed,monitor (use the plug outside the kitchen window so you can here little one and still enjoy a glass in the evening sun) steriliser etc he throughly enjoyed his stay and especially the pool for which his swimming came on leaps and bounds! all in all myself and my family were extremely impressed with the gite,pool,location and the effort tracey and her team went to to make our sons first holiday an amazing experience for us all. 5 stars and defiantly another list to this beautiful part of france!!!x

Une superbe maison

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine à La Grange. La maison a été entièrement rénovée et quel travail ! Elle est au calme et la vue sur le golf est superbe. Les enfants ont beaucoup aimé la piscine (chauffée, très propre et le dôme est idéal en cas de temps plus frais), la table de ping-pong (et nous aussi !), le trampoline. Il y a beaucoup de vélos à disposition. La télé est en anglais mais il y a beaucoup de DVD que l'on peut regarder en français et le Wi-Fi fonctionne parfaitement. Tracey est aux petits soins et répond à toutes les questions rapidement. Elle est disponible au moindre souci. Nous avons l'intention de revenir tellement nous avons passé un moment de détente.

Excellent villa, great accommodation with all the extras you could ever need. Fantastic pool, and great location. Only 20 mins from Bergerac airport. Great choice of local restaurants and vineyards to sample. Owners are extremely helpful and accommodating, no issues at all. Highly recommended, Thanks for the wine and a very relaxing holiday

Excellent property in beautiful country area,

Although it was low season everything was excellent. Clean, tidy, great facilities and well heated. There is a local golf course and owners provide sets of clubs to use if required. Would highly recommend. Must come back in the summer time and use the pool !!

Loved Dordogne, nice location to explore from

If you like to be away from the bustle of a city or even a town this is a good location. This property is comfortable, reasonably well appointed with a very nice heated pool, though the pool heater is annoyingly close to the beautiful terrace and outside dining area. Golf at Vigiers and biking are really worthwhile here. We and our many guests enjoyed our stay and Tracey was always helpful and responsive. We particularly appreciated her reference of Chris of Minibus47 for tours and taxiing to the airport. We chose France as a destination to be immersed in the french culture and language, so we where a bit surprised by the British experience for service staff and cable channels, great if you want to find Britain in Dordogne.

Perfect stay

From the moment we approached the property, past a myriad vineyards, and parked up outside the lovely house, we knew we were going to absolutely love it. We've stayed in many rentals, both in Europe and in the USA - and this property was the best equipped and most comfortable by far. We felt completely at home throughout our stay and marvelled at the care and attention given to enhance our stay - from the shopping done for us, to the provision of plenty of English plug sockets via extension leads. We even found wine bottle stoppers in the drawer! The beds were deliciously comfortable - the bathrooms contemporary and the whole place was as clean as a whistle. We appreciated having British TV, especially with Euro 2016 to watch with English commentaries. The pool was an absolute delight to cool off in and relax. We enjoyed watching the golfers teeing off (not always very well!) and listening to the blackbirds chirping in the trees, and the frogs croaking in the distance. We talked to the little lizards (as you do). We had wonderful weather - a bit of a heat wave - only marred on the Friday after the Brexit vote dampened our spirits and dampened the ground with a thunder shower or two. Lastly, but not least, Tracey was an absolute joy to work with! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your idyll!

Wonderful Luxury Villa where pets are allowed.

It is so rare to find a Luxury Villa like La Grange where you are allowed to take your pets, We have stayed here several times even before we had a dog to take on holiday .Perfect location, overlooking Chateau du Vigier golf course,with lovely walks, quiet roads for cycling ,villages and their markets to visit, vineyards for wine tasting, and restaurants, all in the vicinity.Thats if you can tear yourself away from La Grange ! The lovely heated pool and surrounding terraces and gardens makes one want to just relax ! Inside is equipped to a very high standard also.
