“Oaks on the River couldn't be more different from the chain hotels and mostly in good ways. The physical layout of rooms set in multiple buildings including two 200-year old mansions is the most obvious. Our king size bedroom felt very king-size. We arrived late in the rain and found our room with A MAP. Dining room was filled but the room service option was there. “Perfect little spot for a stopover for a night or two if you have a long drive up or down 95. My wife and I stayed there with our puppy. 2 miles to 95 and everything was walkable. Friendly neighborhood and very close to the water. Bungalow was very clean and had what you needed for a short stay. A great alternative to getting a hotel.”
