“Excellent value. Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). “There was no one at the desk at check in, about 7 PM. I waited 5 to 10 minutes before someone showed up. After an 8 hour drive, that was not appreciated. ”
