“It's a nice townhouse on the lake, can't really complain much about that. A few things to note. The downstairs bedroom is really cold (winter season of course) so you must be willing to keep a fire going if you want to stay down there. Also, the two queen beds felt more like full size beds to my wife and I. Smith Mountain Lake is a beautiful area, but be warned to get in out of of the area to other locations you will need to travel 15 minutes on very winding roads. And finally, there was a lack...

“We were very pleased with the house and grounds. It is secluded, yet convenient to the Walmart. We were visiting family in cave springs who didn't have 4 extra bedrooms. Everything was as listed on the vrbo site. Like new appliances, plenty of mixing bowls and Tupperware. Well stocked, though we always bring our stuff anyway, just in case. We were 6 adults and had plenty of space. We cooked on the outside grill, used the picnic tables (I brought tablecloths), and hot tub. Great fun. We had a...

“Visited family in close proximity of home. Very convenient to family, downtown and amenities. Beautiful views and clean accommodations. Great kitchen and living area.”

“Great older home on the west side of the city, well cared for and stocked. Great communication with the owner. You need to know it is on a very busy street, Loud traffic from 6am until 10pm everyday. The neighborhood is a bit dicey with homeless people sleeping on porches, stairs and sidewalks. People walking by asked for money, cigarettes and other things everyday. ”

“This property is amazing! The creek is closer than it looks in the photos, access is easy, and the landscape is gorgeous! Peaceful, and spacious with lots of birds to keep us company. The firepit is perfectly placed for watching the moon rise and the stars shine. The house is small but clean, and the finished basement provides ample space for spreading out. “My wife and I along with my son, his wife and 2 daughters traveled from Virginia Beach to the Roanoke area for my son and myself to participate in the VA State bowling tournament. This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay. The private pond for us to fish in (catch and release of course) was an extra special plus and fabulous. We would absolutely stay here again. “We stayed here when we came into town for a VT football game. The place was perfect for myself, husband and son. It was clean, well stocked and lots of options for breakfast nearby - we suggest Scrambled! Would definitely rent again!”
