Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. “What a lovely stay, we stayed in the print room which was the perfect size, very homely and welcoming, overlooking the market square. Communication with The Dial House Team was via WhatsApp, they responded straight away and were always happy to help. The location is perfect being 30 minutes drive from some great sights. “Plenty of parking available and easy to find. Staff were friendly and breakfast was nice, however our room had a strong smell of dog and wasn’t the cleanest. Areas of the pub look like they need a freshen up and they definitely need to hoover the hallways more as there was plenty of dog hair everywhere! Probably wouldn’t stay again for this reason.”
