“Check in was not the best. The MOS clearly didnt want to be there. Didnt tell us about the only lift. The room was as far away from the reception in a very much less than full hoyel. We were 'treated' to the noise of the by-pass all night. The hotel was in a poor state of repair, I pointed out torn carpet to a MOS who laughed and went into an office. The ceiling over the staircase had a large crack across it. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay with friendly staff and a good selection...

“Room nice and big. Heating good in this cold weather. Clean room / bathroom. Shower could do with updating but ok for a couple of nights. ”

“Have booked the victoria before , the family room, used to hear good reviews, but they appear to be islamaphobic. They charged me extra £50 deposit which was never the case pre-election. Also, my internet had stopped working nor did they include breakfast. Moreover, they tried taking an £20 deposit despite agreeing prior that they wouldnt charge extra if we checked out at 12pm. Let us see if they return the deposit. Also the floor was really filthy in the family room, it needed hovering. ...

“It is sn old property in dire need of some fresh decorating. Especially the stair carpet which looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in months. It also smells in the narrow passageways. The toilets and showers needed cleaning. Staff were nice, polite and helpful.”
