  • Set amidst serene olive groves and just 4 kilometers from a pristine sandy beach, Iris Villa is a spacious 240 m² two-story retreat offering the perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and natural beauty.Bathed in sunlight throughout the day, the villa features a thoughtfully designed layout.



    The ground floor boasts an expansive, tastefully decorated living room, complete with plush sofas, an armchair, a cozy fireplace, a flat-screen TV, and refined decorative touches. This welcoming space flows seamlessly into the dining area, where a large table invites you to enjoy meals together.



    The fully equipped, generously sized kitchen includes modern appliances and a breakfast table for casual dining. Also on this level is a quiet office room with a sofa that converts into a semi-double bed, ideal for accommodating additional guests, along with a convenient shower/WC.



    Upstairs, you'll find three comfortable bedrooms: one with a double bed and en suite shower/WC, and two with twin beds each sharing a spacious bathroom. All bedrooms open onto a large balcony furnished for outdoor relaxation, offering delightful views of the garden and surrounding countryside. Each bedroom is air-conditioned, and WiFi is available throughout the villa.



    The exterior spaces are equally inviting. Shaded verandas and beautifully furnished patios provide the perfect backdrop for leisurely mornings or sunset cocktails. The well-kept garden and lush lawn surround a 28 m² swimming pool, complete with sunbeds and umbrellas for soaking up the Mediterranean sun. A barbecue area is also available, ideal for al fresco dining under the stars.



    Just 750 meters away lies the charming village of Prines, where you'll find two mini-markets, an ATM, and three traditional taverns. A short drive brings you to the lovely Gerani Beach, known for its quiet atmosphere and seaside dining. Within a few more minutes, you’ll reach the expansive sandy shores of Petres, Episkopi, and Kavros, each offering beach bars and casual eateries.



    The vibrant town of Rethymno, located just 8.5 kilometers away, is brimming with historical sites, museums, shops, restaurants, nightlife, and a lively market—perfect for a day of exploration.

We really enjoyed the stay

We stayed for 2 weeks in the house and everything was perfect. The house was clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. The garden and the pool was very nice and we really enjoyed the barbecue. The host was very helpful and nice. So we can really recommend the villa.

Villa Iris was a very pleasant discovery. We spent 2 fantastic weeks with our families, relaxing in a peaceful setting. The locazion is cozy, tastefully furnished and fully equipped as descrived in the presentation. It was impeccable clean. the It is located in a very quite area. Hihglights are the outdoor spaces, the garden and the pool. Mr. Kostas, our host, was always available for any need. We higly raccoment this location.

Beautiful villa

This was our first time visiting Iris Villa, we are a family of 8 and this villa was very spacious and had everything we needed. The villa itself is absolutely stunning you can’t fault it. The owner Kostas was very accommodating and if we needed anything he was right there which was great. Perfect location just a 10 minute drive into Rethymno. We will be returning to Iris Villa. Fantastic holiday. Wonderful large villa. Pool maintained daily. Owner visited daily, broken bedside light replaced next day. Three great tavernas 5 minute walk lovely local dishes. Villa cleaned, bedding and towels changed three times during a two week holiday. Kitchen well stocked including coffee machine, panini press, orange juicer and more. Would definitely stay again. We hired cars and were able to travel into Rethymno a wonderful harbour town with wonderful shopping and eating places.

Fantastic villa stay with pool and AC in Prines

Great stay for our group of 6 friends on a girls trip in the village of Prines. Costas the owner was so helpful providing us information and helping to arrange a transfer. Pool, deck and outdoor areas are fantastic with beach umbrellas and sun chairs. The water filter and fresh fruit were a very welcome gesture. There is a dishwasher, coffee machine and AC in all the bedrooms (even the little room downstairs).There are 3 bathrooms and a washing machine too. Single beds are harder than the larger ones- kids wouldn't mind these. There is also a cot if anyone travels with a baby/toddler.We walked into town to the mini market and tavernas, there is also a petrol station and butcher in walking distance. We had a hire car so it was an easy 20 minute drive into Rethymno. We also drove to beaches and sunset locations. We loved relaxing by the pool and enjoying sunset drinks on the top balcony. Thanks to Costas for being so accommodating to ensure we had a relaxing stay!

Schöne Villa in sehr guter Lage

Die Villa bietet im unteren und oberen Geschoss zwei sehr große Terassen. Unten hat man viel Platz an dem man sich aufhalten kann und selbst bei einem Regenschauer das Grillen nicht unterbrechen muss. Oben kann man sich unter einem Baldachin auf Liegen legen und genüsslich das Meer beobachten. Das Haus und die Einrichtung wirken sehr neu und es wird alle vier Tage sauber gemacht (Haus+Pool). Es gibt eine gut funktionierende Waschmaschine und die Küche ist sehr hochwertig und umfangreich ausgestattet (nur Markengeräte; Kühlschrank ist riesig und sehr kalt) bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten (es könnte ein-zwei schärfere Messer geben und eine Schere, jedoch sind wir hier selbst ausgerüstet angereist.) Die Klimaanlagen können sehr leise und zuverlässig betrieben werden. Es gibt Häuser mit größeren und tieferen Pools, für uns aber völlig ok. Seltener Moped-Lärm von der Hauptstraße ist nicht zu hören, wenn man die Fenster schließt. Die Lage ist sehr gut, direkt Nahe der Hauptstraße kurz hinter Prines. In Prines gibt es 3-4 Tavernen, die zu Fuß zu erreichen sind, zwei kleinere Superkärkte, eine Tankstelle und überall freundliche Leute. Auf dem kurzen Weg bis zur Nationalstraße findet man zahlreiche weitere Tavernen, einen Bäcker sowie noch 3 Supermärkte und wenn man es über die Kreuzung an der N80 schafft, landet man bei einem weiteren sehr großen Supermarkt. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und diskret und fragt alle paar Tage nach, ob etwas fehlt oder Probleme aufgetreten sind.

Beautiful Villa in Mountains above Rethymno

The villa was immaculately presented and Kostas was a very good and kind host. Despite the pressures of his work he responded quickly to all our enquiries and was a very good and knowledgeable guide to the area. In addition he is an excellent cook and baked us a present of his special chocolate cake which was much appreciated. I would recommend this villa to anyone seeking a quiet holiday adjacent to the town and beaches of the Rethymno district.

Relaxation in beautiful Prines

The villa is really well equipped inside and has a really nice garden, veranda and swimming pool outside . The host Kostas is a really kind and welcoming person for whom nothing is too much trouble. I would really recommend this villa to anybody considering a holiday in the Rethymno area.
