Recently renovated 3 bedroom house in the heart of the historical center.

  • Le invitamos a experimentar la hospitalidad griega en nuestro acogedor apartamento recientemente renovado en el casco antiguo.

    Está situado en el corazón del centro histórico, entre muchas mansiones venecianas y mezquitas de la era turca. La fortaleza veneciana del siglo XVI se encuentra a 10 minutos a pie. También a menos de 5 minutos se encuentra el antiguo puerto, la Porta Aguora, la Loggia y la fundación Rimondi.

    Cerca de la casa hay una panadería, muchos restaurantes, cafeterías y heladerías. Al otro lado de la casa también hay una farmacia, una tabaquería y muchas tiendas con recuerdos.
    A 5 minutos a pie también hay un supermercado.

    A menos de 1 kilómetro comienza la playa organizada con bandera azul de 5 km donde puede nadar, tomar el sol y refrescarse con café helado, varios batidos y jugos frescos.

    El acceso al casco antiguo en coche solo está permitido entre las 6 a.m. y las 11 a.m. A 5 minutos a pie hay varias áreas de estacionamiento privadas con cargo. Sin embargo, puede encontrar varias plazas de aparcamiento gratuitas.

    Puede alojar hasta 8 personas en tres habitaciones únicas y un cómodo sofá cama doble. También hay 4 televisores inteligentes con Netflix en la sala de estar y en cada habitación.

    La cocina está totalmente equipada con nevera, estufa, lavavajillas, microondas y cafetera Nespresso.
    También hay una lavadora para su ropa.

    La habitación doble en el piso groynd se puede usar como habitación principal con su propia ducha y balcón privados.

    Con todo respeto a la ΑΜΕΑ la casa no es adecuada para ellos debido a la ausencia de un ascensor. También puede no ser conveniente para personas muy mayores.
    La casa tiene una escalera de entrada empinada y estrecha.

Fantastic property, fantastic location, fantastic people

I can honestly say Effie was the best host we have ever had for a rental abroad, very kind very caring, exceptional customer service. The house was exactly as stated if not better, Effie was fantastic from meeting us from the airport to seeing us off home after a great 11 day stay. We were a family of five and she could not do any more to look after us, it was perfect. The location of the house in the middle of the old town was the perfect place to stay with easy access to beach, transport and too many restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bakeries to mention. The food, service and genuine desire to please was evident everywhere, Thank you Effie for the perfect stay, we will see you again. We did not want to go home. Paul Lesley Joshua Emily and Christian.

Familie aus Norddeutschland

Wir haben uns in dem Appartment im Herzen der Altstadt von Rethimno sehr wohl gefühlt. Meine Frau und ich haben mit unseren erwachsenen Töchtern eine erholsame Woche Ende Oktober auf Kreta verbracht. Das Wetter war noch sehr sommerlich mit Temperaturen um die 28 Grad. Das tolle an dem Appartment ist neben der guten Ausstattung und den Terrassen zu verschiedenen Himmelsrichtungen die Lage in der Altstadt. Man kann von hier zu Fuß den Strand erreichen. Wenn man etwas weiter läuft, kann man hier relativ rugig baden. Gleichzeitig ist der öffentliche Parkplatz für den Mietwagen (5€ Tageskarte) nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Auch ein Bäcker und ein kleiner aber völlig aber ausreichender Supermarkt sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Was uns besonders Gefallen hat war die sehr hilfsbereite Vermieterin Effie, die uns viele hilfreiche Tips zu Restaurants und Ausflugszielen aber auch zum Parkplatz, Anreise.. gegeben hat. Wir hatten schon die Erfahrung gemacht, dass die Kreter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit sind. Effies Gastfreundschaft aber ist wirklich besonders. Wenn man im Gästebuch liest, merkt man, dass es nicht nur uns so gegangen ist.

Wonderful Apartment, Gracious Host, Great Experience

Our experience at Effie’s charming, two-level, perfectly located, and immaculately clean apartment in Rethymno’s Old Town was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment Effie greeted us, we were captivated by the comfort and design of her property, the thoroughness with which it was outfitted, and the appeal of the indoor-outdoor lifestyle it offered. Sitting on the front balcony above the street below, which is lined with bustling shops, became an evening ritual. We further enjoyed getting to know the shopkeepers and learning the rhythms of this city and its history. We also appreciated the closeness of a grocery store, a wonderful fresh fish market, pharmacies, bakeries, and other shops, not to mention Effie’s thoughtfulness in providing samples of delicious Cretan treats. Old Town is full of highlights, all an easy walk away. The Thursday town market, just minutes from Effie’s apartment, is not to be missed. Effie recommended wonderful restaurants, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and day trips, many of which we were able to incorporate into our ambitious driving schedule across the island. (Note that we took advantage of Effie’s offer to arrange transport from the Heraklion Airport to Rethymno, and we are so glad we did. The service was exceptional. We highly recommend it.) From the hum of Old Town’s main streets to the charm of its quite side streets, and from its beautiful Venetian harbor to its imposing Fortezza, Rethymno has found a special and lasting place in our hearts, and we can’t imagine staying in a more delightful lodging. Effie’s apartment is a home away from home. Effie herself is a professional and caring host, and an amazing person.

Perfect accommodation in an amazing central location

A wonderful stay in this amazing accommodation. Our host Effie was simply lovely. So kind and caring and a wonderful source of knowledge for the local restaurants and day trips. A highlight was sitting on the front balcony and watching the world go by. We love Rethymnon it is a magical place and we cannot wait to return.

A lovely host and a central location in the old town

Effie is a wonderful host. Very helpful, always thinking of her guests needs, full of useful information. The apartment is just what we wanted. It's not on a quiet side street - it opens onto the busy thoroughfare, the rear overlooks a restaurant garden. You can sit on the terrace and watch the world go by. In the morning the rear is in shade and in the afternoon the front is in shade. So there's somewhere shaded for breakfast and again for sun-downers. The stairs from the front door are really steep (not forgetting you're in the old town) but might be troubling if you're a bit infirm. Bakery and juice bar just a stone's throw as are some of the best restaurants and bars in the town. We will definitely visit again.

Effies & Diogenis's cool ambiente

Mitten in der meist verkehrsfreien Altstadt gelegen, mit ruhigen Schlafräumen und Terassen nach Nord in Süd eine gute Wahl für alle, die neben Komfort den Flair der touristisch geprägten historischen Altstadt mit den flanierenden Menschen genießen. Alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir waren 11 Tage dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Rundherum sehr gute Orga dank E.&D.
