Acogedora villa céntrica de mediados de siglo de los años 60 en Reykjavík

Una propiedad bien situado y cómodo para pequeños grupos y familias, de hasta siete personas. Cuatro dormitorios y camas confortables para todos. Agradable sala de estar abierta con grandes ventanales, adyacente al comedor y cocina. Tres balcones, en la sala de estar, cocina (vista sobre el montaje Esja), y el dormitorio principal. Dos cuartos de baño, una ducha. Televisor de pantalla plana, Wifi y de alta velocidad a Internet, ropa de cama, ropa de cama y toallas incluidas. Bus no hay 14 paradas justo fuera, que le llevará al centro en unos minutos. Cerca: Laugardalur valle, con un centro de fitness Laugar Spa (gimnasio, piscina geotérmica, masaje, Joe & The Juice). Esta es una propiedad familiar con un apartamento independiente en el sótano con entrada independiente, habitada por una sola persona. Los propietarios viven en una casa cercana. The house was charming and perfect for us. Lots of character. Room for everyone. We thought we would take the bus places but ended up driving and we didn't find parking to be an issue. Nearby park/gardens that the kids enjoyed. Giant public pool nearby. It was a great choice for us.

We arrived and checked in at 3pm met by Johannes. We received a welcome and tour of the property to be sure we knew how to use everything- including recycling which was great!The rooms are all cozy and furnished nicely. Very homey and welcoming feel. Kitchen is completely stocked with all necessary equipment and the grocery store is conveniently close (we shopped at Bonus). It has a nice easy parking spot that is covered and right by the front door. The bathrooms are great and well stocked with towels and extra bedding. There is a washer/dryer in the master bath which we used several times for drying out clothing. Check out was easy. I highly recommend this property. It was close to everything we did (Downtown, Golden Circle, South Coast drive, The Harpa, etc..).

Everything about this charming home and its hosts was an absolute delight. Nestled atop a hill, you get lovely views when seated in multiple spots around the house. There is a wonderful 360° viewpoint a short walk from the home, and its central location makes it a breeze to get anywhere by bus or car. Me and my family were able to many meals at home in the well appointed kitchen, utilizing local meats and produce. We are all looking forward to the next visit we will make, and are sure to be booking this home again!

We loved our stay! Lots of windows with beautiful views. Plenty of room for a family of 5 adults. Owner- built house with many original elements. High on the hillside overlooking the harbor. Off street parking. Bus stop next door.

We had a great stay on our girls getaway!! There were 7 of us which made us worried about the 1 shower but it was totally fine! We were welcomed right away with a kind gentleman and when we couldn’t figure out how to use the shower, our question was answered right away! Note: if you’re from the US ask about how to turn the shower on, quite different for us! It was wonderful and would return!!

This house was a joy to stay in. A beautifully built genuine mid-century modern house with a great location. Easy access to downtown Reykjavik and highways made it convenient for all of our activities. The owner was pleasure to meet and work with for check-in and gave us a tour of the house. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

This home in a quiet residential neighborhood was perfect for my husband and me and our two adult children. Plenty of space to spread out; comfortable beds/bedding; ample towels, equipped kitchen; outdoor areas. Gorgeous views of harbor, mountains, glaciers, just a few minutes' drive to central Reykjavik. Johannes provided a gracious welcome and helpful information.

this house was just what our family needed for a very last minute booking. The host went out of his way to make sure we have everything we needed, and gave us a personal tour of his family home. We felt very confident and comfortable staying here and really enjoyed being a little outside the city center. Overall a very relaxing stay with plenty of room for a family of five to spread out.

We were met at the door and welcomed by a song!! Very nice walking neighborhood. So close to the geothermal pool. Only 2 miles from central Reykjavik. We did an excursion in a different direction everyday.

I booked this location with me and 6 of my friends for about 7 days. We chose this location mainly due to the fact that it had the perfect number of bedrooms for all of us. (3 couples and one single, four rooms total). But we really fell in love with the interior! We mainly all sat together in the living room, which was very spacious for a big group. We were greeted by Olafur and then Johannes, who gave us a brief history of the home, which was built I believe in the 80s and was renovated and built on top of overtime. You can tell a lot of love and hard work went into the house. While Iceland was very cold, the heating system in the house was top-notch! We did have an issue with one of the bathroom toilets not working properly, but they were very quick to handle that within a day. Thankfully there are two bathrooms, and we managed just fine until the issue was resolved. While this isn't in the heart of Reykjavik, it is right on bus 14 and that worked out whenever we wanted to go into town. Plus we had amazing views of the mountains in the distance and it was a quiet neighborhood, so this was exactly what we wanted. I will say this is the best location for those with a big group or a big family, especially those who want a semi-relaxing trip to Reykjavik with some excursions planned.
