Secluded getaway

The residence was soooo nicely decorated and so easy to find. It was so nice to unwind and unplug. We were only there for 48 hours but it was amazing.

Review

A simple renters note book saying how to operate TV, saying tv is only Netflix apparently also and how to operate each room thermostat. We never seen a thermostat like that and didn't know what to do.

A breath of fresh air

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We enjoyed the deck view, dock, and campfire area. Also a great area for soaking in some fall color drives. Bond falls in MI is definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive from the cabin. We hope to take our kiddos back during the summer. The only thing we couldn’t figure out was the TV set up in the bedroom or bathroom. Ultimately, I was too busy reminding my husband who was the Yahtzee and Cribbage champ is so it didn’t impact our trip. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

Lakeview North

My family and I really enjoyed our long weekend here. This beautiful, peaceful place was just perfect for us to reconnect. The cabin is well appointed with everything you could need. The beds were comfy and clean. There is no AC but the house has two ceiling fans and fans in all the bedrooms. The upstairs bathroom is quite nice with a jetted tub, two sinks, even a towel warmer! The lake was clean, has a sandy bottom, and panfish for the catching at the end of the dock. The firepit was used every night. We definitely recommend this wonderful property!

Nothwoods retreat

We enjoyed the stay for the most part. House was very nice the lake was beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking planty of pans dishes etc. They had Internet but internet TV so that was a little disappointing. Over all very nice stay.

Fishing was ok. Cabin was nice. AC would be nice but there are lots of fans. Mosquitoes were abundant but that’s all part of the experience. Neighbor was nice enough to let us use his boat landing since there isn’t a public landing.

Just what we needed

This location is perfect! House is well maintained and has everything you need for your stay, literally. We enjoyed kayaking along with plenty of fishing, abidance of bluegill and small mouth. Having a coffee by the lake is an absolute delight. During the summer times, make sure you tolerate the mosquitos, it's wild!!! I would come back in the fall, the colors of the leaves changing must be an astonishing view.

Air-conditioning would be nice. When we arrived I started wiping down handles, kitchen table, chairs, couch, remotes. If found Hair ties behind the couch from the past guest. The blind for the sliding door was broken when we arrived. The patio furniture on the deck was covered with bird droppings because the bird feeders were hanging right above it. The grill did not look clean enough to cook on. The stove needs to be replaced with a new one. They needed the mosquito police.

The communication with the owners is fabulous. The home was spotless and very nice. Love the large jetted bathtub. Very isolated and totally quiet. Will come again!

Amazing!!!

If I had to review on something slightly negative it would be the lighting was dim. We had trouble with a chandler shorting out and someone was there the next day to fix it! The view was fantastic! The cabin was fantastic!! We would stay there over and over again!!!!

Disappointed

Obviously not thoroughly cleaned as promised. Used floss pick on end table, blob of jelly under kitchen table, Dusty dressers and lamps. Outside property firepit had to be cleared before use, cigarette butts and empty beer can. One small cubby w/2 shelves for the weeks pantry items in the kitchen. All other cupboards filled w/owners items. Bring your own paper products! They were rationed. Had to buy more TP. We do not recommend a stay here after our experience. Paid for cleaning, yet ended up doing the cleaning we paid for. Sad.

Our honeymoon stay

This was the perfect get away for our honeymoon. The property was secluded on a beautiful, small lake. The fall colors were amazing! It was quiet, serene and private. We enjoyed fishing, walking the trails and just spending time soaking in the sunsets and sky full of stars. Being able to see the water and trees from inside the house was a beautiful view. Very clean and well set up for supplies. Great experience! We will definitely be back! 💞 Having access to the boat, kayaks, paddle boat and seasonal equipment makes this a great stay any time of year!

Wonderful secluded place!!

Everything went as planned, beautiful home...great location. Many messages from the managers, kept us informed the entire time. The only problem was mastering the TV in the living room. I am sure it was my lack of knowledge in managing the remotes. Unfortunately couldn't watch the 1st NFL season Opener! But the jetted bathtub was Wonderful! We will definitely keep this on our list of places to revisit!

Home away from home

The property was exactly how it was pictured online and even more spacious. The teen boys fished continuously off the dock and the paddleboat and canoe was also utilized a few times. SO nice to have kids off electronics! We brought some of our own floating rafts and enjoyed floating by the dock to cool off during our hot weekend stay. There was no AC and it was 85-90 but lots of fans and the basement area/bedroom was very cool and comfy at all times. Beautiful view from the huge deck. I watched my husband on the canoe while drinking my morning coffee. Lovely time and I hope to go back!

Very secluded and quiet!

We had a very nice stay here. Really beautiful and quiet; the lake is crystal clear for swimming and the fish were abundant! We caught 24 bluegill, sunfish and bass total. The paddleboat was good for the kids and the canoe was like brand new. There really was so much to do right on the property, with a telescope, fishing gear, books, games and WiFi for logging into streaming services (although the internet was very spotty but it wasn't a huge deal). The cabin itself is really more of a "home" and is very well maintained. All the kitchen gear you would need is provided. Tons of room and two beautiful bathrooms- the jacuzzi tub was absolutely perfect (just be aware that you don't want to fill the tub and use the shower at the same time for pressure and hot water availability). The only issues we had were that there are a few rusty nails on the dock that need to be dealt with and there's no ladder, and the ceiling fan in the "master" bedroom needs to be serviced because it is extremely noisy. Other than that, the beds were super comfortable and we had no other issues other than dealing with the northwoods bugs, which are to be expected. :)
