The Space:

Stringybark by Tiny Away offers a peaceful rural retreat in Rhymney – gateway to the Grampians. Our tiny house is perfect for guests seeking a slower pace of life and a genuine connection with nature. Surrounded by open countryside and scenic views, our holiday homes provide a tranquil space to relax and unwind.



Discover attractions in Rhymney in the Victorian Region like Pomonal Tunnel Walking Track, One Tree Hill Lookout, Green Hill Lake, Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre, Pyrenees Wine Region, Shiraz and Chardonnay, and ontara Winery.



This 139-square-foot pet-friendly tiny home features easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.

Explore the outdoors along the Pomonal Tunnel Walking Track, enjoy panoramic views from One Tree Hill Lookout, or relax with a picnic at Green Hill Lake. Discover local history at J Ward Museum Complex and Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre, both offering insights into the region’s past.



Wine lovers can explore the Pyrenees Wine Region, known for its cool-climate wines and boutique cellar doors, or visit Montara Winery near Ararat for regional wines and scenic vineyard views. Getting Around:

By car:

- From Melbourne 2 and 3/4 hours, to Stawell, Ararat and Grampians all 20 mins. Reachable by 2WD.



Getting around by public transport:

- Melbourne to Ararat by bus or train, taxi to property (approx $65).

- Smoking is not allowed.

- Family-friendly Accommodation (Kids Allowed)

- All mobile networks have weak signals.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed.

- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving.

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.



🐶 NOTICE TO ALL FUR PARENTS/ PET OWNERS:



- Up to 2 pets are allowed. Dogs and cats must be kept on a leash at all times. Wild animals may be present.

- Pets are allowed with 24 hours' notice. Pet amenities will be provided by the land host. The full pet policy will be sent before arrival.



Important note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property. Children are welcome under close adult supervision, including a safety guide sent prior to booking.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
