“Upon arrival the staff were very friendly, however things went down hill from there.
We were shown to room 1( Spa Gill ) which looked really nice on the website.
As we entered the room it looked nice and clean but the bed looked like the mattress was very thin and not quite what we expected.

“We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. When the room costs £500 per night this is totally outrageous. The hotel was empty so it would have been a nice gesture to offer a 1pm checkout given at most high end hotels 12pm is standard. Very...
