This property is a nice cozy cabin with a great view along the river. Everything was clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking. The owner was quick to respond when any issues came up. I plan on staying here again!

Enjoyed the stay. Stuart was a great host. Loved the amenities and being right in the lake. The porch was wonderful in the morning for coffee. So many things to do nearby. The canal path was perfect for a stroll along the river Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Coming in from NY, this homestead was a perfect home for lengthy discussions and reflections. The home was emaculate and comfortable. Stewart, the host, was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely follow up with a return visit.

River Retreat

We had a great stay. Gorgeous view and the place had all the accommodations we could want. Very close to some wonderful restaurants and the walking trail made for a fun afternoon.

Loved the location! Really lovely view of the river from the very spacious deck. Sometimes listing's exaggerate the water view, but this exceeded expectations. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. Convenient to nearby towns (we were meeting friends in Frenchtown, a short drive away) and an easy walk on the canal path to the pedestrian bridge. The path was contiguos to the property, didn't even have to walk on the road. Very quiet, a bit of traffic noise from River Road on the other side of the Delaware but nothing bothersome. Saw some wildlife from the deck. Would stay here again. Must be lovely in autumn. Little more than an hour from Philadelphia but felt like we were a world away!

Loved this Riverside retreat home! Very clean, lots of room, and the kitchen had coffee, cream and sugar. Host was very accommodating and friendly. Absolutely loved the area - such a beautiful and peaceful location with a lovely porch and great view! Very nice additions included a fire pit , swing chair, and ping pong table! Would definitely return and recommend.

Even in the heart of frozen winter the River Retreat proved to be a welcome respite from the world--that includes everything from the private view of the Delaware River, to the nightly sounds of owls. Can't imagine how nice it would be the other seasons!

We had a good stay at the river retreat. It was exactly as described on vrbo. Check in and check out was very easy. It is quite except for the boats going up/down the river. (Didn't bother us)We did see some wildlife while we were there.(chipmunks, rabbits, deer). My only complaints are is that there were spiders. We had a few in the house and a web on the deck. Also the screen door was a little hard to use. Other then that we would recommend this rental if you are in the area.

The girls had a wonderful time playing in the river while we sat on the porch and played games. We really enjoyed our time there.
