“Were it not for a hurricane, the grounds around the main house would be beautiful. The owner/operator family, like other victims, is building back as quickly as possible. The interim condition of the exterior shows what they went through. The unaffected main house and our guest room were well-appointed and very attentive. The breakfast buffet provided to all their guests was extraordinary extravagant, as delicious and varied as you’ll find anywhere! A true 5-star experience.”

“Sunnyside cabin was perfectly located for our short getaway. We’ve came to Roan Mountain several times now and vowed to come back during high bloom of the rhododendrons. The cabin was centrally located to all of our hikes and evening adventures. Plenty of charm right there on the Doe with a spotless cabin. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch each day and devotions at night. The sound of the rushing water was simply perfect. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend others to...

“One of the main reasons I selected this property was because of the higher elevation. I booked this stay months in advance so I wanted to give my family the best chance to see snow while we were in the mountains. The Mountain House did not disappoint! We got some fantastic views of the mountains and valley along with the incoming weather and even managed to enjoy a few inches of snow. Definitely a property we would visit again!
