Wonderful Family Cabin with Amazing ViewsThe booking process was seamless online, and the host was always quick to respond whenever I had a question. From the moment we arrived, the cabin was clean, welcoming, and clearly well cared for. One of the most thoughtful touches was the welcome plaque with our family name on it—it made us feel instantly at home.The three-level layout was perfect for our family with adult children. Each of our kids and their significant others had their own space, which made the stay comfortable for everyone while still allowing us to gather together as a family.We also truly appreciated the little touches that made our dogs feel welcome. It was clear the hosts understand that dogs are just as much a part of the family as the people.Communication with the host was exceptional—from the welcoming text message before arrival to the follow-up during our stay. The property itself was relaxing, with exceptional views and beautifully maintained grounds.The location is another huge plus. During our 8-day stay, we were able to explore several nearby areas including the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Nantahala, and Knoxville. Having so many options for hiking and sightseeing within driving distance made it easy to experience something new each day.This was a lovely family vacation. I would highly recommend this cabin to any family—especially those traveling with adult children— looking for a comfortable and memorable mountain getaway.

We had an amazing time. The house has an amazing, amazing view, it is a beautiful property, very well equipped and beautifully decorated. Hope to come back at some point. Totally recommended, we all loved the place.

Amazing view of Fontana Lake and the surrounding mountains, making the cabin a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. Property was very clean and well maintained. Check-in check-out were very easy, with straightforward access to the cabin and no issues getting in or out. The upstairs bedroom was getting uncomfortably hot, especially at night, which made sleeping less comfortable than the rest of the cabin.

This cabin was amazing! The cabin was very spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. All the bedrooms were way larger than you could ever imagine and has plenty of bathrooms. There was five adults and four children in out party and we had plenty of room. The views from this place is beautiful! It is back in the woods with plenty of privacy and on the way in there were a couple of trees down blocking the road but we made one phone call to Robert and he got them taken care of right away. I highly recommend this cabin for a place to stay.

This being our second time at Fontana Lake, our visit was still amazing! We stayed a month later than last time and the views were awesome. I would not change a thing about this location. A pool table would be great since we stayed in a majority of this trip, as the weather was cold at times. If you think you need it, it's there. We actually met the owner of the fire wood place at the end of the road this time. He seems fun. If you are in need of a relaxing spot check thismone out. You will not be disappointed.

We absolutely loved it! The property was amazing, with breathtaking views overlooking Fontana Lake. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the kitchen had every utensil we could possibly need. This is our fifth year celebrating a birthday with a week at Fontana Cabin. That probably says it all. If you enjoy nature and solitude, this is the perfect place for you. Robert responds immediately to any questions you may have, though we rarely have them after staying here so often. One thing to note is that the cabin is considered remote by many folks who did not grow up in the country, so don't plan on running out for something you might have forgotten. It isn't 10 minutes but more like 25 minutes each way to the grocery store. We love that, but realize that it would be a shock for some.We can't say enough good things about the property or the hosts. Excellent all around!

We enjoyed this cabin SO much. We needed Nothing during the stay. The view from the deck and downstairs living space were worth the trip alone! BUT there is so much more! EXCELLENT communication before the trip, the day of and after the stay. Host shares information on the cabin, how to get there, things near to it and extended area. The cabin is stocked with things you don’t typically find in a rental. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms had good water pressure and hot water for all, easy entryways… We found ourselves complimenting it throughout our stay. We had so much fun on the water (not accessible from cabin) and made many memories gathering at the cabin, we are already planning next year!

Amazing views

Great cabin, moderately easy to get to even with our sports cars (about 5 min on gravel roads). View was amazing, overall in good condition and clean all the way around. Lots of room with a game room and separate living room. Please be aware the "5th" bedroom is more of an open loft with no privacy so its really a 4 room cabin.

This was our third time staying at the cabin and already planning for the fourth visit! Communication with the owner is seamless and pleasant. Every visit, the cabin is always very clean and organized. Secluded, quiet, comfortable, relaxing, an overall amazing 'escape' from the every day. We tend to spend most time on the covered deck breathing in the mountain air, listening to the birds and allowing the stress to melt away as we gaze at the water and mountains. And because the cabin is pet friendly, we can enjoy these moments with our fur kids.

Motorcycle Vacation

The weather was against us but the house was perfect. Lots of space. Firepit area was great!We fit 3 pickups and 2 cargo trailers with no issues. The driveway is not for the faint of heart! It is steep and curvy so I would not recommend for beginner riders! For experienced riders, it is manageable. Overall a great rental!!!

Beautiful Property!

We had an amazing stay at Fontana Cabin! The property was well kept and directions were made very clear on the way up the mountain where to go. The cabin was very clean and well appointed and very nice inside. The view was spectacular - pictures don’t do it justice! We love to cook so one of our favorite parts was the kitchen. Anything and everything you need is there and it’s all so nice - like what you’d have in your own home. It was secluded and peaceful - just what we needed. We will be back!

Lovely retreat!

My family gathered together from multiple states across the country for my mother's 70th birthday celebration, and this home could not have been more perfect.Robert was incredibly steadfast and attentive in his communication, information and instructions. He provided a handful of suggestions for things to do - which if you are an outdoor lover, there are a plethora of activities to engage in throughout the area!The home is lovely on its own, though, and we really did not need to go too far to have fun. Our family cooked every meal at home, and we were surprised how stocked the kitchen was with appliances compared to most rental homes - we truly did not need anything beside groceries! The views alone were more than enough for us. We spent most of our time eating, talking, laughing and playing on the porch, simply watching the clouds and rain move over the mountains.Was a sublime time, would love to visit again! Thank you!

Wonderful experience

Everything about our stay was perfect. The views are unlike anything any of us have seen before. We had a group of 12, ranging from all ages and our dog and we didn’t feel crowded at any point. The cabin was larger inside than the pictures show. The kitchen was fully stocked, we had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner.
