Everything was exactly what we expected upon booking.The water was very hot in bath which I loved. The only thing we would have enjoyed a little bit more was a TV in the bedroom. However it wasn't a deal breaker. The stay was pleasant and comfortable.

The apartment was clean and neat. It was very convenient to downtown Rochester and felt safe, even late at night. Parking across the street was plentiful and easy. We would consider staying there next year as well.

Lovely place to stay! The host was very helpful in providing all of the details for the stay, the house was clean, and it has a very cozy feel to it. I'd recommend staying here if you're coming to Rochester. The only issue was that there was a guy yelling at us from his car for no reason, but that's not a problem regarding the homeowner, it's just the area.

While I found the apartment to be mostly clean, I would not stay here again. The 9.6 rating is very deceiving. I booked based on the rating. I feel obligated to be honest so that the next person can make an informed decision.Issues listed below:1. The stairs are extremely steep & the handrail isn’t sturdy, which makes it difficult to ascend when carrying luggage. The carpeting needs to be shampooed or replaced (There is a faint unpleasant odor). The apartment entry rug had nasty stains on it.2. The floors need to be redone & made sturdy in the living room & both bedrooms. They are laminate (feels like the wood is rotting underneath).3. The bedding in both rooms were old & worn. 4. Some of the table lamps are rickety & need to be replaced.5. The curtains in the entire apartment need to be replaced.6. The outside noise is extremely loud due to the windows being partially raised to accommodate the window fans and ac units.7. One of the nights some neighbors were having an altercation (from 1am-3:45am). They were extremely loud & playing loud music. 8. The neighborhood is less than desirable.9. I could not sleep the last night because I could hear the downstairs TV until 1:30am.10. We saw one roach in the living room & a bee got into the apartment through the dining room window that has the ac unit in it. Do not be deceived by the property photos because they do not capture the true condition of the apartment (The issues listed above cannot be captured in a picture).

Very disapponted

This apartment had such potential based on the pictures. However, the neighborhood was less than desirable - very noisy, cars racing around, police sirens, dogs yelping and WORST of all, woodpeckers making noise on the roof early in the morning! The walls were super thin and all noises came in. Very hard to sleep. Owner didn't communicate well and we had to leave a day early just to keep our sanity!

Cute apartment

Needed a place to stay when I was in Rochester for a wedding. This apartment was less than 10 minutes from our venue and could accommodate our group of 4 with two very comfortable bedrooms. Each room had its own A/C unit, which was perfect for the heat wave we had over that weekend. We also loved the full kitchen and open living/dining room space. We had plenty of room to prep meals and snacks, as well as work on last-minute wedding projects. Also, loved the screen-in front porch! Wish we had time to play one of the many games provided. The host was very communicative and accommodating with lots of helpful information regarding check-in, extending our check-in and our times, as well as things to do in the area.

Cute little place to stay. Air worked great and beds were very soft and comfortable. Water pressure in shower was nice too. Would definitely stay there again if we came back to town.

Not Comfortable

While I dont like to be critical, I feel I have to be honest. I booked this property because it had a good rating even though it might not be my taste. The good part is I saw an effort to make the property clean and the check-in process was clear. Beyond that things weren’t so great. It is advertised as sleeps 6. There were 3 adults and a teenager. We needed a third bed. They did not provide sheets or bedding for the air mattress or cot (which had a stained mattress cover). We texted and emailed the owner through VRBO and they never responded. I think for what we paid for two nights the value didnt meet our expectations. A response and sheet’s should have been provided at some point during our stay. So we had to sleep 3 people in a king size bed. Also the bedding in both rooms were old and worn. One of the bedroom doors doesnt shut, even with the latch they attached to the door. The bathroom had an old bar of soap left in the shower and a toothbrush that was wrapped in a paper towel sitting in the shower as well. The kitchen was ok.

Quaint and Cozy Apartment

This property is super charming, and the listing is exact. Although the surrounding area may seem sketchy, it truly isn't. This apartment is located in a historical front of Rochester where multicultural elements are presented. The area is extremely quiet to be so close to the downtown area and Nick Tahou Hots is literally within walking distance. Rochester garbage plates, yum yum! The master room has a super firm, but comfortable mattress with a white noise speaker available to help ease you into a deep sleep. The 2nd bedroom was just as comfortable. The mattress was a little softer, but still firm enough for a great night's rest. The apartment had a large, deep seated couch with tons of throw pillows. My husband enjoyed the couch. He is tall, and enjoyed the width of the couch. If we do return to Rochester, I will definitely book another stay with this super host. Easy check-in/check-out. My only negative comment is the check-in (1700) and check-out (1000) times. Most VRBO's are check-in by 1500, and check-out at 1100. It would be nice to definitely check-in earlier than 1700, especially if you're driving a distance.

Pleasurable Stay

This property is great for small families. Aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate and all appliances work properly. The neighborhood does this property no justice. But overall no issues or complaints.
