Wonderful Spot for Family Reunion

Everything you need to cook and enjoy the beach with family. Enjoy cozy vibes with a gas fireplace, sunset views, and a massive movie collection. Private beach access close to a tasty bakery.

Stunning views

We were a multi-generational family group with ages from 14-88. Having a downstairs room for our elderly parents was essential, and they were able to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the beach by walking onto a level deck. The teens loved the easy access to the water for water play and shell collecting. The views are breathtaking from the upstairs primary bedroom as well as the living/dining room. There were plenty of plates, glassware, silverware, cookware, and seating for our group. Precious memories made there.

Beach galore

Stayed for thanksgiving with family. The kitchen is well stocked to accommodate the 13 allowed guests. We’ve stayed at many places with just the bare minimum, which really makes enjoying a food based holiday hard. Not here. We had everything we needed and more. Easy access to the beach made sand time quick and easy with the kids. The beach was never crowded. So many shops within walking distance as well. Will definitely be staying here again. It was easy to get to the bay for crabbing and only a quick car ride to Tillamook.

Lots of issues

Pros: amazing view and beachfront Cons: dirty, old indoor/outdoor “carpet” that is in desperate need of replacing, fire place never worked, fridge didn’t work and the replacement hardly turned on and the door wouldn’t latch on it, dusty lamp shades and blinds, primary bedroom had two windows with blinds and one without—hard to get baby to nap without blinds, furniture was very old and smelled of mildew—torn. Unfortunately you get what you pay for but the biggest disappointment was the communication. We arrived to a warm fridge and no one even responded until a guy showed up 45 minutes later (we had $300 worth of groceries and no where to put them). Then the manager called two days later to check in and I told her the replacement fridge wasn’t working that well. She said she’d look into a different one and follow up. Never heard from her again.

Family Vacation

This home needs a little maintenance and a good clean, but the view of the ocean is super. The beds are comfortable. The home is just steps from the beach. Be aware that one must descend a few boulders in order to reach the sand. Might be difficult for older people.

Lovely, not fancy but just right beach house

This is a great house for a group that enjoys sharing the living room and kitchen together. Nothing extra or fancy, but clean, beautiful view, great electric fireplace.

Lovely Thanksgiving stay

My family has been coming to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving for 20 years. We enjoyed staying right on the ocean in this comfortable and well- supplied house. It had everything we need for a wonderful holiday!

The Hideout

The property is a bit aged but so are most of us that stayed there. We found this home to be absolutely delightful! Watching the waves right outside the window and just steps to the beach. My 82 year old parents said they haven't slept so well in a very long time. The washer was out of service and the coffee pot does not work (carafe must have been broken and not replaced). But there is a wonderful bakery a couple blocks away so we grabbed a couple lattes and a cinnamon roll. We are already planning our next trip.

Mother,daughter and dog get away.

House was right on beach,view amazing. Carpets could do with replacing but overall it was fine. Our family dog loved the ocean was able to watch beach goers. Daughter loved the master suite with all the room. Will consider visiting again. Local shops owners were so welcoming too.

Nice, but...

As described, but carpet is terribly worn, and several mini blinds need to be replaced. Staircase seems to be rather steep. Beautiful ocean view!

Great Time at Rockaway Beach

The property isn't fancy, but it is very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, silverware, pans, bowls, etc. There are no spices that we could find. There were plenty of linens, including bathroom towels. A few things need to be fixed, such as a living room blind, a small leak in living room window when it poured rain, a cracked light shade in master bedroom. We would definitely stay here again.
