Jill’s communication was quick and pleasant. The house fit our family of 15. The kitchen was well equipped, except that the microwave worked sporadically and without warning or reason. The house needs updating and TLC. Reading older reviews, I see that the deck has been brought up many times - it still is in severe disrepair. Boards and rails have been replaced over the years, but it needs full overhaul. Nails sticking up, the ‘new’ railing is not braced well and wobbles, many boards loose and/or bowing. The home wasn’t fully cleaned when we arrived. 2 of the rooms’ beds weren’t made and the master bedskirt was disheveled; when I straightened it, I found a previous guests’ summer shoe under the master bed and dust bunnies galore, found a previous guests’ glasses. A previous guests’ shirt hung over deck rail, hose left disheveled. The master King bed is FIRM. Master suite is classic, vintage 80’s tub shower, sinks; also in disrepair. Many of the noted features didn’t work; neither fireplace (master or living room), jetted master gardentub or the one in the shower. The ceiling fan in main floor bedroom doesn’t operate, bathroom fan in main floor mudroom sounds like a fighter jet taking flight. Shower floors are slippery, smooth surface and softened water, need grip strips.We replaced roughly 10 lightbulbs upon arrival. There are wasp nests somewhere - we killed several in the house during our stay.
