Whether you're planning an adventure-packed weekend or simply looking for a quiet escape surrounded by the beauty of eastern Kentucky, Buttercup puts you right where you want to be for your Red River Gorge getaway.



The Space:

Buttercup is a warm and inviting two-bedroom cabin surrounded by the woods of Scenic Heights. Natural wood walls and ceilings run throughout the home, giving it that classic Red River Gorge cabin feel while still offering the everyday comforts you want after a day of exploring.



The main living area features comfortable seating and a smart TV, while the adjoining full kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, cookware, and dining space—making it easy to prepare anything from a quick breakfast to dinner at the cabin. A washer and dryer are also available for guest use, especially handy after long days hiking or climbing in the Gorge.



Both bedrooms offer their own peaceful retreat, with comfortable beds, vaulted wood ceilings, and doors opening directly onto private outdoor deck space surrounded by trees. It's a wonderful spot to step outside with your morning coffee and enjoy the quiet forest setting.



Buttercup has 1.5 bathrooms, including a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination, plus an additional half bath for added convenience.



Outside, multiple decks and seating areas give you even more room to unwind and take in the wooded surroundings. Whether you're starting the morning slowly, coming back from a day on the trails, or simply looking for a quiet weekend away, Buttercup offers a comfortable home base in the heart of Red River Gorge.



Guest Access:

A door code is made for you the day of arrival. No need to meet with anyone, you can come and go as you please after your allotted check in time.

4WD is not needed! There is a paved road that goes all the way to the neighborhood then it turns to a gravel road that is well maintained.



The Neighborhood:

Scenic Heights is centrally located in the Red River Gorge off of Glen Carin Rd, nearby many popular attractions such as the zipline, the gorge underground and many exciting hikes!

Natural Bridge State Park: 1.7 miles

Gorge Underground: 0.8 miles

Miguels Pizza: 3.5 miles

Red Point BBQ: 5 miles

My Tiny Wedding: 5.4 miles

The Barn at the Gorge: 7.5 miles



Other Things to Note:

Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.
