La mia casa è situata in una delle zone più esclusive di Roma, Il colle Gianicolo. A 250 metri da Piazza San Pietro, tra Trastevere e Villa Pamphili, ROMAN DREAM è in una strada signorile che ci allontana dalla confusione e dal caos metropolitano con una salita di circa 50 metri. Immersa nel verde di alberi e piante, il mio appartamento è al piano terra di ingresso ma ha l’affaccio di un primo piano. L’appartamento è ristrutturato da poco con ogni confort. Esso è composto da un salotto con un grande e comodo divano, cucina attrezzatissima e moderna, zona pranzo con tavolo e sedie, una camera con un letto matrimoniale king un letto a castello con letti di 1 metro di larghezza per 2 metri di lunghezza, adatto anche ad adulti, e due comodini. Il bagno ha una doccia abbastanza grande (70cmx100cm), bidet, lavello e scalda salviette da arredo. La casa è arredata in stile italiano, accogliente e dotata di aria condizionata e riscaldamento. Il nostro obiettivo è quello di far sentire i nostri ospiti a casa propria, pur vivendo nel cuore di Roma. Potete controllare il tutto sulle foto che descrivono la casa perfettamente. All’interno del palazzo è possibile usufruire di un garage sia all’interno che all’esterno, su richiesta e a pagamento.

Excellent hosts - great location - super convenient and extremely close to the Basilica. When they say “steps away” they are NOT lying. Pharmacy on the corner for medical supplies; fabulous restaurants within walking distance. Grocery store (PAM) was farther but also walkable. Unit wa in a safe area tucked away. Quiet and tranquil setting up on a hill. Great shower and bathroom facilities with plenty of light. Traveller information: for longer stays, should offer more towels. Units do NOT have dryers, only washing machines and because of the cold weather (we travelled in March) if you’re not accustomed to hang drying your clothes you will have to plan in advance. This is not intended as a negative, just informative. Also: our unit specifically faced neighbors so the natural lighting was limited. Overall, we would DEFINITELY BOOK AGAIN WITH THIS HOST. ❤️

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning and again at the end of our trip to Italy. What stood out for us was both the responsiveness of the host - she replied very quickly, and went out of her way to check on us and see if we needed anything during our stay - and the wonderfulness of the apartment. It was immaculate and beautifully appointed. She had many small touches like coffee pods, paper towels, an umbrella, to name a few, that made us feel very well taken care of. Emanuele her on-site manager was super responsive and very helpful with a full explanation of everything in the apartment and a full list of recommendations in the area.The location is great! It is a hike up Viale delle Mura Aurelie to the apartment (then down the private drive to the entrance) but the exercise was good for us:-) Do avail yourself of her offer to arrange transportation to/from the airport- just have euros to pay the driver. Way better than taking a taxi and way more trustworthy.

Just in time for Pope Leo!

It worked out perfectly for our stay. Living area had a good amount of light. Great appliances! A very short walk to the Vatican. Gorgeous, fragrant jasmine on the staircase to the building. We were greeted in a friendly manner and enjoyed our stay.

Great apartment

This was a great little apartment to stay at, super close to the Vatican and other left bank areas. The food in the neighborhood was awesome. Marzia was very helpful at checkin and Monica was nice and super communicative throughout our stay. It was nice to have a washing machine after staying at a place without one before this.

The property was excellent! The location is amazing, right next to St. Peters. Easy access to train, metro, restaurants and supermarket. The host communication was perfect and helped us set up transportation to and from FCO. What an amazing place.

Delightful home base

Roman Dream II is a perfect "home base" when visiting Rome. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to the Vatican with easy bus access to sites around the city. Monica is an excellent host who answers questions quickly. The property is clean and comfortable. We loved the darkening shades and have already planned a return trip to this beautiful city. This property is highly recommended!

Great location

Monica and Marcia were both genuinely kind and accommodating. Place was located very close to Vatican area, easy to walk. City bus stop was also very close for transportation to other sites. Being “flat landers” from Florida, the walk up the street to the apartment was tough, but doable. Great visit, thank you.

Esperienza fantastica. La casa si trova in un’ottima posizione. Basta uscire e fare pochi metri per vedere San Pietro… impagabile. La casa inoltre l’abbiamo trovata pulitissima e già refrigerata con aria condizionata. Non manca assolutamente nulla. Letto comodi, cucina accessoriata e spaziosa. Roman Dream is truly a Roman dream!

We had a wonderful stay in Rome and a big part of that was due to our accommodations. Roman dream was very close to bus stops that can get you everywhere around the city and only about a half mile from a metro station. We used public transportation every day and found it very convenient to stay at this location. You can see St Peter's Basilica as you walk down the street! Monica was very responsive to any correspondence and Marzia did an excellent job in showing us the apartment and getting us checked in. The apartment was immaculate and stocked with many of the little necessities such as salt, oil, sugar, laundry detergent, plastic wrap, and even some coffee. I would highly recommend staying here as you explore Rome!

Clean, Comfortable, & Convenient

The location is in among some other high rise style apartment buildings and away from the noise of the hustle and bustle of traffic and people. It provided a very restful retreat and the end of our 8-10 mile ventures through Rome each day. As mentioned in other reviews and the listing, the last couple hundred yards are uphill to reach the driveway entrance to the building, but it very doable even at the end of a long day of walking. This restful retreat is well maintained in furnishings and kept very clean. Washer and drying rack enable you do to laundry. Air conditioning works great!! There is a partial view of St. Peter's dome out the kitchen window, but mostly blocked by a tree. Apartment worked great for family of 4. Most of the major sites are on the opposite side of the river which is reachable in 15 mins by foot by crossing Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II bridge. Also the Roma S. Pietro train station is 12 min walk allows you to reach destinations across town such as the Colosseum and connect with the Metro (@ Ostiense). There is a Pam Panorama (grocery store) 6 mins walk away. It's on the same route as the train station. Best Coffee: Bar Farnese, near Campo de 'Fiori (the most authentic coffee bar in town) Best Pasta dishes: Borghiciana Pastifcio Artigianale (near St. Peter's square) Best Gelato: La Romana Best Authentic Roman dishes: Rosticceria I Molisani; (selection & price can't be beat; near the Borghesse Gallery)

Location perfect

Nicely appointed ( blow dryer, washing machine, coffee maker, etc) and a comfortable bed in a generous space so close to the Vatican , restaurants and shops. Highly recommend the host as well as their communication was excellent

Comfortable, spacious and well located

This apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had lots of room for toiletries and a nice shower. The location is very close to the Vatican and bus stops. There are plenty of nearby restaurants. It is an uphill walk to the apartment, which is clearly shown in the photos. My husband and I are active seniors and had no problem with this. Rome is a very crowded, busy and noisy city. This apartment is very close to sights, but situated such that there is no noise from street traffic. There are a lot of apartments, so you get some everyday life noise from people coming and going and living. We enjoyed the apartment and would stay again if we come back to Rome.

Great Location!

This was our first time to Rome and we were unsure about which part of Rome to stay in. After much research, we selected Roman Dream II. This was a GREAT decision. First, the location across the street from St. Peter's Square was perfect for us. In the morning and the evening, it was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We regularly travelled through the square on our way to the metro. Second, the other areas we considered--Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori, area around the Trevi fountain were very loud and busy and not for us. The apartment was also a good fit for us. The bed was comfortable. We loved the electric shutters, the pocket doors, the lighting options, the kitchen supplies and the furniture. The temperature control for the apartment was easy to use. We used the stove top, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, and dishwasher with no problem. We appreciated having some kitchen staples, and laundry and dishwasher soap. There is a hill to the apartment...after a 12 hour day of sight-seeing, it was sometimes a challenge. I say this only to inform you that you will need to walk up this hill unless you rent a car or driver. With that said, this would be our first choice if we travel to Rome again and we would recommend it to family and friends. Monica was very helpful and arranged our transport from the airport. Grazie! P,S, Feffo makes a great cappuccino. Dinner at Dino & Tony's was a memorable experience and Ristorante Ad Hoc is a great place for a special dinner out.

Our home-away-from-home in Rome was wonderful. The apartment worked beautifully. Lovely apartment and good location away from tourist hoardes but close enough for easy access to Ancient Rome. This property made our Roman Dreams come true

If you are reading reviews and have not yet clicked on reserve, you are making a big mistake. Book immediately. Everything described about the property is accurate and much better than we expected. You are close enough to the Vatican to hear the bells if you open the window in the morning. The nights are very quiet, the bed is super comfortable, and the shower is great. The restaurants and markets a short walk from the property are fabulous. We live in Arizona, and we are thinking of buying an air conditioner like the one in the property. It is so efficient and quiet. The communication with the host was absolutely incredible. The response was nearly instantaneous to our questions. Due to a pending taxi strike, our host made us private car reservations to get to the airport less than 12 hours before our flight departure time. The meet and greet to enter the property was very smooth. Although she spoke no English, like the description says, we had no problem communicating with her and learned all the bells and whistles of the home. I wish I could give this property and the host more than 5 stars. The walk up the hill is very doable. I would not consider it a hill, it is more of a brief incline. You see people of all ages walking up and down the incline both day and night. We will definitely rebook this property if my wish at Trevi Fountain comes true and we are blessed to return to Rome and enjoy the city.

9 nights in Rome

The apartment is a good size for a couple. The bunkbeds in the only bedroom are unusual, but if a couple has 2 small children that could work. The apartment is as depicted in the VRBO pictures, other than there are no carpets anywhere. However, the day before we were due to arrive, we were told by the owner via email that in addition to the fees we already paid, that we needed to pay a city tax of €3.50 per day per person, in cash only, upon arrival. This additional cost was not part of the booking, nor did we know about it until we received the email the day before our arrival. It should have been included on the booking, not as a surprise. Also, there were no English instructions in the “welcome book” for any of the appliances - clothes washer, dish washer, oven or microwave. When I asked the owner to provide us with instructions so we could use the appliances appropriately, she refused, and told me to go to either Google translate or to YouTube to get tutorials! She asked me why I was writing her emails asking for help when that time could have been spent on her fast Wi-Fi, looking up the appliance manuals! She shared that she had updated the English speaking instruction sheets in her “welcome book” in February, which was 6 months ago, and someone must have taken them, and that was not her problem! So while she repeatedly sent emails saying she would answer all questions we might have, when it came time to help us, she refused. We would not recommend this apartment, no.
