Return to La Madone

This was our second trip to La Madone and again we had a wonderful time. Many thanks to Yvan for letting us stay in his beautiful house, and also to Nadege for her warm hospitality.

We are now back in England and I want to thank you, on behalf of my family, for the best holiday stay we have ever had. The memories of Roussillon will stay with us always; the house and your hospitality and help were second to none.Your recommendations were great - we went to Domaine Tara for a wine tasting and the vet appointment went very smoothly for Poppy - they were so helpful and lovely to her.And also a special thank you to Nadege, for looking out for us throughout our stay. Your warmth and kindness was very much appreciated.Thank you both again, for such a wonderful and memorable holiday experience.

Just wonderful

The house and the surroundings are stunning. Everything very clean and well furnished. The pool and garden are wonderful for old and young. Nadège is a perfect host. Discreet and accommodating and in addition an excellent cook.

What a wonderful stay. We had the best week and so sad to have to leave. Lots to see near by, and a beautiful home to come back to. The pool was fabulous and we lived in it every afternoon! Nadege was amazing and cooked a beautiful meal for us and was so welcoming and so helpful. I really hope we will come back again.

Spectacular property in a great location! Very private with a beautiful pool for those long hot days in the summer. Only a kilometre from Rousillon and within an hour drive or less of Les Beau Villages. Each bedroom has a private bathroom so great for large groups. The kitchen has two dishwashers which makes clean up really easy with a professional stove and two fridges. With a group of 12, we were easily able to stock the food we needed for the week as well as all the wine! Beautiful home and a great host. Highly recommend.

Stay in Roussillon

Great property. We were a group of 13 adults and 5 children. The house never get crowded. Lots of room to relax. Great kitchen. Nadege and Yvan were very available and helpful. The house is within walking distance of Roussillon and short drives to lots of other great towns in the region. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing week

We had such a wonderful week here - age range 6 months to 70. We loved the house and gardens, and the pool was conveniently out of sight which made managing the children easier than we thought (they also have a pool alarm installed). Nadege the housekeeper was wonderfully welcoming and an incredible cook, it would be a mistake to miss out on one of her home cooked meals!

Week in the Luberon

As a large family group from 6 months to 65+ it was always going to be hard to find the perfect house. However Yvans house was the closest we have ever found. The pool area, seating, indoors and out, the kitchen and location near enough to walk in to Roussilon could not have been bettered. Our great thanks must also go out to Nadege who manages the property completely unobtrusively but was available to cook a delicious dinner for 14 people people.

Alles war tiptop!

Schon bei der Reservation lief alles reibungslos. Das gab ein gutes Gefühl. Und so erlebten wir auch eine tolle Woche im La Madone. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 13 Personen und alle fühlten sich wohl. Nadèche hat uns sehr aufmerksam und doch diskret betreut. Wir genossen auch ein Diner provençal von ihr. Alles war tiptop: von den sehr guten Matratzen bis zur Reinigung am Pool. Die Einrichtung war sehr grosszügig und umfassend. Wir haben keine Verbesserungsvorschläge! Und auch das Wetter passte: immer sonnig und warm.

Peaceful country retreat

Family group of 9 adults and two children. Lots of space and areas to relax. Kitchen well stocked with utensils. Pool area fantastic for afternoon swims after day out visiting local villages. Birthday lunch prepared by Nadege was delicious especially the amazing macaron chocolate mousse. Nadege was very welcoming and helpful. Villa was very clean. Wi-Fi intermittent at times. Would highly recommend this Villa.

Lovely week in Provence

We spent a lovely week at La Madone! We were a group of 12 ranging in age from 3yo to 85 and the house accommodated all of us. The house has a lovely balance of character and comfortable and was really well equipped - lots of kitchen equipment, two fridges and freezers, toys for the kids and board games for the adults. We were looking forward to spending lots of time outside and even though the weather had other plans for us, the house rose to the occasion and there was plenty of space for us all inside. There are some stairs in the property to be mindful of if you have older guests or very small children but there are several rooms on the ground floor which are good options for anyone who might have difficulty. Nadège is lovely - she was a great comfort being nearby for anything we needed but for the most part left us to ourselves. Communication in the lead up to our stay was great - very responsive and patient with our little questions. We had a small family celebration during our stay which the property owners were super accommodating of. The house is wonderfully located in a nice quiet lane. It’s walking distance to Roussillon albeit uphill and a very easy drive to Gordes, Joucas and other lovely villages, multiple supermarket and boulangerie options as well. Overall I would absolutely recommend this lovely house!

Delightful property

What an amazing home surrounded by beautiful countryside, the pictures do not do it justice. La Madone was the perfect size for our group of 14 adults to spend a very enjoyable week in Provence. The house manager, Nadège, was wonderful and a great source of local information, advising us where to buy the best groceries etc. The croissants au beurre in Roussillon are to die for, as is the “festives” baquette. Nadège also helped us arrange an amazing gourmet evening with great wines, with chef Gerald and his lovely sommelier partner Charlotte. The food and wines were spectacular, competitive with every Michelin star-rated restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. La Madone is highly recommended by all 14 guests. Thank you for a great week.

Simply stunning

Spacious, peaceful, well equipped traditional Provence gite. 6 lovely doubles all en suite (plus extra bedrooms) plus a variety of areas to sit & sun, eat and/or drink. Table tennis table, petanque, & the most gorgeous saline pool.

Propreté impeccable. Accueil laisse à désirer, la concierge ne nous a pas fait visiter la maison. Propriété à déconseiller pour les personnes souhaitant faire la fête après 23h, y compris le week-end. De plus, la concierge habite sur la propriété, chose non précisée dans l’annonce. En somme, nous étions déçus.

Séjour entre amis

Une propriété avec du charme et de l'espace ! Nous avons séjourné 4 jours à la Madonne et l'endroit est idéal pour un séjour entre amis. Dommage qu'il ne nous es pas été précisé que le Sauna soit hors service, nous avons été déçus à notre arrivée sur place ! Yvan est un hôte cependant agréable et disponible, je recommande tout de même !

A week of most scenic viLlages in France

We loved staying in this 16th century villa. So many bdrms and all with en suite bathrooms. Pool was great on hot August afternoons. So many charming villages. Nadege is so pleasant and well informed, very sweet and helpful, perfect English.

Vacances en familles

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans cette gde maison pleine de charmes et de recoins. Jardin magnifiquement entretenu. Vue magnifique. Par contre la maison demande un peu plus de soin : housses des coussins et des chaises extérieurs à nettoyer ou même à changer, carrelages descellés, grosses fissures dans certains murs, sanitaires un peu vieillots. Mais dans l’ensemble ravis du séjour.

Beau séjour familial

Très bon séjour dans un lieu calme et paisible. Très belle maison avec un jardin et une grande piscine très bien entretenus. Accueil chaleureux de Nadège et Yvan toujours près à répondre à nos questions et demandes. Dommage juste que la climatisation et le sauna ne fonctionnaient pas.

Charming and peaceful stay

Very nice and charming villa on a perfect location. Close to the village of Roussillon but very peaceful and private on the other side. We were there with some other couples and children. The house offers privacy to all. Nadege, the house conciërge, is always available when you would need something. Garden is very well maintained. House is also very well equipped: lots of kitchen equipment, spices, babybeds& chairs, towels, pool alarm system, play gear e.g jeu de boules etc. One small minor point of attention: sauna did not work. We had a very pleasant stay.
