“Great restaurant and good location in a quiet neighborhood near Cambridge. The staff was very accommodating and even kept the kitchen open late to provide us dinner upon our late arrival. Rooms are small but well appointed & good value for the price. The bed size was advertised as king but it was a double which is small for us. “We arrived early aprox 9AM and the place was closed. It said that was open 24 hrs a day, but we waited until 11AM and nobody showed. At 11AM was check-out time, but still there was no one to be seen. One person was cleaning the bar, and we knocked on the window but did not answer. We had to go and get a room somewhere else. “We had a lovely stay at Little Barham that we were staying at for a family party and trip to Colchester Zoo. It was a super comfortable bed, lovely setup with the zed bed for our son, lovely tea/coffee facilities and fantastic bathroom. The breakfast was amazing with eggs from the chickens laid that morning. They’re such a lovely couple running it and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs which we are hugely grateful for. ”

“Lily pad could be wonderful. Its setting is beautiful. I was really looking forward to staying. However the lodge is damp and the heating is wholly inadequate, the macerator in the shower room had leaked under the laminate floor and was still leaking on my arrival.The property was a health hazard.
