The house was in a really nice location and the neighborhood was fairly quiet. The creek/river was very nice to listen to. The house was huge and can accommodate a lot of people. Access to the hot tub is from outside and goes down a fairly steep hill. The hot tub was VERY chlorinated and we couldn't stay in there very long. The house needs a deep cleaning, badly. The filters/vents for the ac were filthy. Our shoes stuck to the floors in the kitchen. The outside tables and chairs were covered in dirt. The refrigerator door stuck when you tried to open it due to a sticky substance on the rubber seal. I found an acrylic fingernail on the carpet in the dining room. The fireplace in the living room needs to be cleaned, as well, as there was a very strong smell coming from it. I couldn't open one of the kitchen drawers because a wooden spoon was stuck. Mostly everything in the kitchen needed to be washed before we could use it. If there was a lighter to start the stovetop burner, I couldn't find it. The vent above the microwave was full of grease residue. The cushions on the benches in the breakfast nook were filthy. All in all, great location, but the owner of this cabin needs to be made aware of the neglect from the cleaning company, maintenance crew, and the rental company.
