Este moderno hotel de 3 dormitorios y 2 baños está ubicado en un pequeño y elegante desarrollo dentro de la aldea de Soar. Situado sobre Soar Mill Cove, tiene vistas ininterrumpidas de la tierra NT y una vista al mar. Soar Mill Cove está a 15-20 minutos a pie con su playa en mal estado rodeada de acantilados y piscinas de rocas. Hay impresionantes paseos costeros y campestres con fácil acceso a playas y calas escondidas. Salcombe y Hope Cove están a 3 millas a través de los acantilados. Hay una gran diversidad de vida salvaje que incluye Buzzards, Kestrels, Gannets y ocasionalmente Red Deer. Hope Cove, Malborough y Bantham tienen excelentes pubs / restaurantes. Salcombe es un centro de navegación, pesca, buceo y compras. Desde Salcombe hay transbordadores de pasajeros a pie a través del estuario hasta South Sands y Kingsbridge. The lodge was perfect for us (5 in total). It was very well furnished (very comfortable beds and settee) and the kitchen had all the utensils needed. The owner was very quick to answer our messages. The lodge is very well positioned to go onto the coast path east and west - only 10 or 15 mins walk to it on lanes that are limited to 20 or 30 mph. The lodge is also only 15 mins drive to Salcombe, with an easy long stay car park. The owner recommended the Salcombe crab fest, which was a great day out. All in all a great stay

Great stay

We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need. Great walks down to the coast and a short drive to Salcombe.

This is an ideal place to relax and enjoy peace, quiet and a sea view. The site was well laid out and about 10 minutes drive to Salcombe. The lodge was very well-equipped, spacious and comfortable, with the benefit of a balcony facing the sea. The host was helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay and the accessibility to several beautiful places in the wider area which offer plenty to do and see.

Very beautiful House with enough space for us and our three children. Everything was very uncomplicated and smooth. We enjoyed the house and landscape very much. The streets to get there are a competition but you get used to it. Nice Host, Thanks for the hospitality!

Lovely lodge in a great location

The lodge is very well equipped with lots of little extras like cooking oil, games, DVDs etc. The beds are very comfy and sleeps 5 people really well. The site is very quiet and has a kids play area. Easy to walk to East Soar and then to the coast path or to Overbeck Gardens & down to South Sands to catch the ferry to Salcombe.

The lodge was very well equipped with additional extras which are not usually supplied. Very clean and comfortable. A very quiet site with a view of the sea.

Well appointed and great setup for a group

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge - we didn't ever have the feeling that we were missing anything. The beds were all very comfortable and all the appliances and fittings worked just as they should. We especially loved the big sofa with the view where we could all gather together to relax. All in all, the property helped to make the holiday easy and stress free.

Salcombe Retreat

We stayed in this location many years ago when it was a static caravan site. It has improved since then! The lodge is situated among similar buildings in a quiet, well maintained site. There is plenty of parking. (You need a vehicle, as Salcombe and other attractions are not within easy walking distance).The lodge is comfortable, well equipped and nicely situated, at the edge of the park with a partial sea view. We enjoyed our stay!

After several hiccups with your company in the first place, Phillip the owner rang me and sorted it out. His property is very good, everything was there and we had a comfortable stay.

September vacation

The property was in a lovely quiet position but did feel the shop should have been open whilst people were on site because of its location. When we arrived the sofa still had some sand on, there are cobwebs in bedroom windows and some kitchen utensils were not too clean. We really enjoyed our stay and felt totally relaxed whilst there. Would recommend.

10 Salcombe Retreat

+ accommodation + location + cosy + value + quiet + restful + playing field for children + would return + would recommend - needs deep clean - needs decluttering - needs a bit of t l c - bedding and towels / stayed two weeks only one set of sheets / towels (might be expected to wash the bedding we had, however, difficult to wash and dry at 5.5 hrs wash and dry cycle) particularly when weather is bad and line drying is not possible.

Family at Salcombe

We arrived to a sparkling clean and well equipped lodge and a bottle of wine was waiting for us. The beds were so comfortable and the site well kept and quiet and everyone seemed to respect everyone’s privacy. We walked our socks off from East Soar and Bolberry both nearby with good parking and absolute fantastic trails along the coastal path. Loved all the beaches that were nearby. We ate at some fine pubs and restaurants nearby in Salcombe and Hope Cove. Check in and communication with owner was excellent with a very helpful folder with information regarding the local area. I do not hesitate in recommending this lovely lodge in a beautiful part of South Devon.
