Overall, the house was alright, but the pictures definitely made it look much nicer than it actually was. Our experience fell far short of expectations for several reasons. The first night was unbearably hot, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, and no one in our group could sleep. They knew it was broken. We were seriously considering leaving, and only ended up staying because the weather cooled significantly the following day. On top of that, the home was noticeably unclean upon arrival, and we were not given any notice that a landscaper would be coming during our stay, which forced everyone inside while he worked. With seven adults, three babies, and three dogs, this was incredibly inconvenient. While a portable AC unit, a cleaning crew, and a partial refund were offered after the fact, these were reactive fixes to problems that should have been resolved before guests ever arrived. For the price, we expected a comfortable and seamless stay, not to be managing these types of issues ourselves. Even more disappointing was the lack of communication from the management company (iTrip). Despite multiple calls, voicemails, and emails over several days, no one followed up. A simple phone call to acknowledge our concerns would have gone a long way, but no effort was made after our stay. This property has potential, but based on our experience, it’s not being managed to the standard that guests deserve or homeowners should expect.
