We have been renting properties for over 20 years and this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received.
Whenever we travel it's top priority to have a kitchen to prepare coffee and breakfast and a comfortable place to sit that is not the bed. Therefore, I always search for a condo or apartment. I thought I had found it in this "Charming King William Studio". Upon arrival I used my code to access the apartment. When the door opened it was very apparent that someone was already occupying the studio. I looked further at my check in instructions and saw that I was directed to a room in another area of the property. The same code, my personal phone #, also opened that door ?? This room was just a room. I immediately messaged the host. He proceeded to tell me that it was, and I quote, "a glitch in the
VRBO system and that it confused the rooms".( I did call VRBO when I returned home and the assured me that from their records I had reserved the apartment.)
At this point what were our options?
Host did not offer any compensation of any kind, and to top it off, there was no regular coffee just decaf in the room.
On the day of check out I received a text message asking me "to run the dishwasher" as if I were in the apartment. To which I replied "I would be happy to if I had one."
This is one of the best locations in San Antonio. We have stayed in King William before and truly love the neighborhood. With that being said, it's the only thing that went right with this rental. Again, buyer beware.
