About this space
Casa Eastside is a fully renovated 1920s Craftsman-style bungalow on a peaceful pecan-lined residential street that is just one short block long and situated only a few blocks east of downtown. The property, including the 3-car parking driveway is electronically gated for security. A large covered front porch faces the landscaped front lawn and street. The spacious living room, dining room and kitchen are adorned with tasteful modern decor and flow effortlessly through the open floor plan. The 2 large BRs each sleep 2 with queen-size beds and share the hallway BA, complimented by the LR pullout bed that accommodates an additional 2 people. The fully stocked kitchen is complete with full-size appliances, microwave and coffee maker along with cookware and bakeware. The Utility room has full-sized washer and dryer for your laundry needs.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the two Bedrooms, hall bathroom, Living room, Dining room, Kitchen, and Utility room (full-size washer/dryer), and the front porch area. The Porch has casual patio furniture, a small table and soft lights strung for a relaxing effect. Enjoy your morning coffee while listening to native birds singing from the pecan trees above or unwind with a glass of wine in the evenings and enjoy the Texas sunset. You may even get lucky and witness a few of our famous friendly Texas Freetail Bats soaring above.

Other things to note
What we do not allow: Parties, Smoking/Vaping anywhere on the property, and disrespect to our beloved neighbours. We regret that we do not allow pets of any kind at this time. Thank you for your cooperation!

There is a door near the Utility room that is locked in the back of the house. At present, we are not renting this space out, as it is a small private area for us (as the owners) to stay when we are in town. Thank you for understanding.

The front of the property and driveway is secured by an electronic gate with access by a gate remote. The front door push-button lock is coded for entry and has a front facing camera to monitor the outside of the property. You will be given an access code to the front door prior to your arrival and your driveway gate remote will be provided upon arrival.

To give you an idea of how convenient it is to stay with us:
San Antonio International Airport is a short 10 min drive!
The Alamodome is an easy, straight 10 min walk!
The 32 bus line has a bus stop one-minute walk away, directly serving the trendy Southtown/King William neighborhoods, Downtown San Antonio and the famous Riverwalk!
The San Antonio Spurs Frost Arena and Fort Sam Houston and more are all just a short drive away!
Not to mention the ease of plentiful & convenient rideshare options!

Neighborhood Highlights
This historically rich area of San Antonio is now called the Near Eastside, and over the years has been home to many working-class multi-ethnic groups, including Black, French, German and Latino communities. The Alamodome, the Alamo, Downtown San Antonio, Southtown/King William, Hemisfair Park and the Riverwalk are all just minutes away! A wide range of locally owned restaurants and bars are nearby, and your host will be happy to share local information and suggestions with you. Many of the area residents, including your house manager, Julie (who lives next door), are life-long, multi-generational members of this wonderful neighborhood, and Casa Eastside guests are welcome as respectful visitors to our home. Please be courteous and friendly to our neighbors as if they were your own neighbors, as they are permanent residents and beloved members of our community.

Getting around
There are bus stops a one-minute walk from Casa Eastside for the 32 bus to Southtown/King William and Downtown! We are right off Interstate 37/281, one exit from the Alamodome. Easy on, Easy off! Downtown, Southtown, the Riverwalk, the Frost Arena for the San Antonio Spurs, Fort Sam Houston and more are all just minutes away via local streets with no need to hassle with major highways or rush hour traffic!

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use the entire front of the home, including the front porch and fenced-in front yard. The bedroom in the back of the house is locked off for the occasional private use of the owner when there are no guests booked.

Other things to note
Depending on weather and humidity, the front gate can stick a little. Simply pull or push on it a bit harder to open it if this happens to you.
