Rustic Log Cabin on Eco-Friendly Farm near Taos, New Mexico
Stay in a cabin with a remarkable literary past. Celebrated British author Aldous Huxley was a regular visitor to the San Cristobal Trading Post and wrote his philosophical work Ends and Means here.
Around 1937, Huxley even took it upon himself to solve the cabin’s lack of plumbing by building an outhouse, which still stands just south of the cabin today. Thankfully, modern comforts have since been added!
This spacious 500 sq ft cabin features a comfortable queen bed, a queen fold-out sofa, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, and a dining table for four. A small enclosed backyard offers a private outdoor space to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Two shared hot tubs and an infrared sauna are just steps away, inviting you to unwind after a day exploring the farm or surrounding mountains.
A wonderful retreat for readers, writers, history lovers, and anyone seeking a quiet escape with a story to tell.
Nestled on 40 acres in the beautiful San Cristobal Valley, at the edge of the Columbine-Hondo Wilderness, Taos Goji is an organic goji berry farm and eco-lodge where history, nature, and the simple pleasures of farm life come together.
Wander through the old apple orchard, explore the gardens, relax in a hammock, or spend time with our friendly farm animals. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shared hot tubs and saunas, outdoor grill, playground, and spacious open-air barn, a favorite gathering place for sunset dinners beneath the wide New Mexico sky.
Seasonal vegetables and fresh farm eggs are available when the farm is producing.
Surrounded by mountains, open skies, and extraordinary natural beauty, the farm feels wonderfully removed from the everyday, yet the town of Taos is just a 15 minute scenic drive away. Taos Ski Valley and Red River are both approximately 20 miles from the property, offering easy access to skiing, hiking, and year-round outdoor adventures.
Good to know: Life here moves at a slower pace. Nights are intentionally quiet and beautifully dark, making for exceptional stargazing. Cell service is limited in the valley, and Wi-Fi may occasionally be interrupted during storms. The fire pit may only be used with prior management approval.
