In town for spine surgery. Had very specific criteria. One very important decision was access to a garage. Emailed the host prior to booking and specifically asked about the garage. They verified - YES! The garage was available and told me what size car would fit in it. After this confirmation and some other questions - I booked.The day I was to check in they sent a message saying the garage was no longer available! This is completely unacceptable! I reached out immediately. They stated the owner had moved furniture into the garage and it was not available. Suggested I use street parking , which is easily accessible. It is NOT! First day home from surgery, the owners rep showed up , asking us to move the car in front of the garage they stated was OUR spot for the stay. We moved the car so they could remove furniture from the garage.The next day in the morning, my girlfriend was walking the dog and just happened to see them parking in that spot. Argumentative rep was sent packing! After many communications they initially offered a reduced comp for one night. Not acceptable. I then requested a refund of the pet fee as well as a more realistic refund amount. The entire stay they kept saying they were working on a larger refund and working with the owner. At the very end of the stay the processed a small, insignificant refund. Refused everything else. Terrible experience and lied to about amenities. Terrible owner
